Best deal in town for a family/small group takeout meal! Columbus is not really a hotbed of creole or Cajun food, so Yats is especially appreciated for keeping the quality high when most folks have a limited point of comparison. Everything is seasoned perfectly - not just a bland recipe with some Tabasco thrown on, but made by someone with experience getting the roux right and who knows what the trinity is.

First I have to say that I'm from New Orleans. Yes, the food is delicious, but to say it's authentic is inaccurate. This place is fusian -- clearly Cajun/Creole inspired. Red beans and rice is authentic, and so is gumbo, but trust me, mixing chili cheese with etouffee is not a Louisiana thing, nor is chorizo etouffee or spinach mushroom etouffee. These are all creative and yummy, but no one should leave thinking you've had Nola food because no, baby.

Calling it Yats is almost a bit blasphemous because it sounds as if you're actually from the lower 9th ward and gonna serve up a dripping roast beef poboy or something.

Also, the side table of spices for people who can't take the heat is hilarious 🤣

I sound like such a hater, but in reality, I'm just craving some of the real deal. Guess I'll have to hope that Way Down Yonder reopens, keep searching, or just take a trip home for the holidays.

I had never been to Yats until my partner took me there. It’s in a small shop in Grandview, the menu had so many options but I got the Mox Choix Chicken. The food was incredible, my dish came with this toast that helped soak up all the goodness. Service was good and our food was made quickly.

I have already told friends and family about this spot and will be returning.

So yummy, affordable, and flavorful and the bread definitely hit. The chicken was also so tender. Half drunken chicken and half crawfish étouffé. The food definitely comforted me because I took a 16 hour nap after

We had Yats Cajun Creole cater my daughter and son-in-law's baby shower in July. Jason was so helpful and he personally delivered the food to the venue and helped us set it up. Their prices were incredible reasonable and most of all everyone loved the food. I wouldn't think twice about using them again. Working with them was such a fabulous experience. Thank you Jason!

There's an alternative looking guy working there, who provided excellent customer service, the guy managing the place was very kind, and the food was dope. 🩷

Loved this place. The food was fantastic & the staff was really nice & helpful. We tried a few items & the drunken chicken was definitely our favorite.

We arrived after 12pm on Saturday, but the restaurant was completely dark and empty- doors locked. No sign on it to let visitors know why they were closed. Sign read “open.” UPDATE: Yats replied back that they’re not open on Saturdays, so I’ve updated this review accordingly and will update it again after we come back to eat during the week.

Drunken Chicken is the way. Get extra bread!

Delicious.

First time trying Cajun and it was so yum! The drunken chicken was there most popular for a good reason. The drunken chicken was so flavorful, the chili cheese etouffee crayfish paled in comparison.

Great food, literally everything on the menu is good. I've had everything and haven't been disappointed once. Even the garlic bread is excellent because they don't skimp on the butter.
