I’m sorry to admit (Yat’s don’t hate me) but I really loved JGumbo’s and was sad to lose them post-Covid in Gahanna.

We tried Yat’s for the first time today as we’ve heard really good things!

FOOD: The food is great! Hot, fast, fresh. It has a more homemade taste than JGumbo’s which I like. A lot less salty. We tried Gumbo, Drunken Chicken, and Red Beans with Sausage. All delicious! Also the bread is INSANELY GOOD.

SERVICE: This is counter-style so you order at the counter and they call your food at a pickup window. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our food was ready crazy fast.

PRICE: Pretty cheap in the grand scheme.

ATMOSPHERE: No-nonsense kinda cafeteria style. But there are many tables. The restaurant is very clean.

Overall 10/10. Thanks Yat’s. We will be back. Perfect Cajun comfort food!

I've never had Creole food before, but this is a true flavor explosion. How can I go back to just pasta and pizza after this?

Well, I gotta be honest, I literally drive 100 miles to come here and get food for my family of 4. Not as often as I would line for sure. Chili cheese etouffe with crawfish has to be the family favorite. Followed closely by B & B (not because it's vegetarian, but because it is delicious!), classic red beans and rice with sausage, then chicken maque shue (mock shoe). The spinach and muchroom, drunken chicken, and white chicken chili are an acquired taste. Extra bread, which is toasted, buttered and seasoned is a must. All served over white rice, except for the chili. Ethan? helped me out this particular day and was awesome! Check website as menu does change. You can order ahead and local delivery is available through door dash. Parking on street and lot across the street is available until 5pm. This is the only Ohio location I know of. Indy has several locations throughout the city. If you enjoy great creole for an affordable price, Yats is a must!

Vegetarian options: Several options to choose from. And very tasty!

Parking: Available on street. Lot across street free until 5pm, then paid.

Kid-friendliness: Small, casual dining area. No table service. Pick up order at counter. Kids can be kids.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair would have no issues

Yats has been my favorite place to eat since the first time I entered. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and nice and I can come in here and enjoy a filling, satisfying, and delicious meal and leave so much happier than I entered. Yats has gotten me through some lonely and difficult times in the last couple years. And I will never stop coming back.

Vegetarian options: There are 3 vegetarian options with one being vegan. They are absolutely delicious and I never get tired of them. I always combine the BB and vegan beans.

First had this a few years ago at work as a Food Truck, then found out they have a restaurant as well. Not much to say except, it's the BEST! The black beans and corn and the red beans and sausage are THE BEST I've ever had. To die for. Like, "scarf it down like a ravenous animal and want more" good! The people that own and run this place are also SO nice and really cool laid back people. If you like Cajun food at all, this is the place in Columbus! AMAZING

Food is banging! I had the beans & sausage along with the vegan white chilli. As I write this I'm thinking of getting more. The Cajun Power garlic sauce is definitely a must!
