I ordered Happy Family. The is tough. The sauce is tasteless. This is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten.

I'm almost reluctant to write this review, simply because I want to be able to get a table the next time I go and worry that people will discover this AMAZING restaurant. I live the other side of the world in the UK. However, I used to travel to Ipoh every year to visit family. Since the age of 12 I have loved the Pandan Chicken here and have always come back (I am now 22), I have tried recreating the recipe multiple times, and have even brought friends to Yum Yum simply because I love the food so much; and they now say it is their favourite food in the world too. I look forward to going back each year not just for family now, but also to have my favourite food! I really couldn't exaggerate this more. P.s. I know the pandan chicken recipe is probably a family secret or so, but I would love to know it otherwise!!

AMAZING FOOD! GREAT & PERSONABLE SERVICE! Went for my birthday with a party group and what an evening! From the moment I called to book the table they were extremely accommodating, warm and excited to see us. The food was amazing!!! Very authentic thai cuisine! Look out for the lady of the party Moi who gave us nothing but smiles and giggles with her bubbly service! Will return in a heartbeat! Highly Recommend!

Everyone must try Yum Yum! Authentic, delicious and brilliant. The food is amazing, the service is excellent and the restaurant is spotless. This is a family run restaurant and is a classic in Stoke Newington. Wishing you the very best business for years to come!

Food very bland and doesn’t taste freshly made. I can only imagine the standards have dropped as I’ve heard such great things about this place. The actual restaurant is run down n shoddy big chunks of wall missing, cheap looking chairs. Let me say this Nando’s offer better quality at a better price

Tha food was good quality The delivery took ages and the preparation was extremely long. I don't think I will order or eat there anytime soon. Disappointed that is the only word I able to find right now.

A must try all seafoods are awesome. They also have the best service Ms Maribel. Great service w her assitant manager Yamuna. Chef afzal and chef Aju put the best taste in our seafoods.Laksa seafood 2 thumbs up.

This was the worst food I've ever eaten. I ordered from this place because the rating on Uber Eats was quite good. It tasted worse than a microwave meal. I actually think it IS microwave food, it was sealed like one anyway. The chicken was tough, rubbery and tasteless and the curry sauce was both tasteless and disgusting. The fishcakes were super dry and tasteless. Definitely one of the worst meals I've ever had. I generally don't leave reviews, not even when I'm disappointed. But I'm beyond disappointed!!!

I've been coming here for several years and feel like this is a very undervalued restaurant. Whenever I go for lunch it's usually empty which really surprises me as they do such wonderful food and the staff are so lovely and friendly. I have always enjoyed coming here and recommend it thoroughly!

We had visited yumyum a decade ago and decided to revisit it on the 9th for a friends birthday. The service was good, considering the current climate and our waiter seemed happy to serve us. The food was filling (though i felt my inside was really greased up from some of our greasy food choices) but the cocktails were lovely too! Ive scored them a 4 to highlight the selfless service and consideration received from the owners... They waited patiently for us to take enough pictures when the doors should have been closed for business. It was past their closing time and most of their staff had gone but they were very warm and friendly (which is very important when running a business). We enjoyed our time there with lots of memories to hold on to.

I have ordered some take away food the other night from the restaurant. We used to be regulars at this place when d up and running so we were expecting food of the same quality. The food that we received was below average and it tasted/looked more like Chinese food than Thai food that we have ordered. In fact the food didn't taste off much at all. The restaurant is not taking phone calls so I left a message with my complaint, but my call was never returned.

Food 4/5 - good varieties, tasty and authentic Thai food. The fish cake is delicious, but the Thai green curry is too creamy and had too much coconut milk for my liking. It is a personal preference though! Service 5/5 - fast, friendly and attentive waitresses. Value for money 5/5 - good portion and reasonable price for east London. Other (e.g. ambience, accessibility and drinks) 4/5 - It is not that convenient if you aren’t driving. It would be nice if you expand the dessert selection to include Thai sticky mango.
