If you stop by for any reason at all let it be to see the beautiful historic bar. Seriously.

Coshocton's best kept secret. Everything about this place is amazing. The atmosphere, the decor, the entire staff. The meal was above excellent and you get way more than you expect. The old telephone actually works too.

This is great hidden gem in Coshocton! The dining area is like a museum and the bar is stunning! There was amazing food and I even had my kids with me! I would recommend this place highly! It is not for people on a budget but lots of little extras make this place worth it.

Ok. So we were visiting the area and unfamiliar with restaurants. We found the Railroad Restaurant Saloon on Yelp. It was close by and rated fairly high. I decided I really wanted a nice juicy burger since that was what I expected in a "saloon". It wasn't on the menu; it's more a steak and chop house so I had to settle for a nice juicy prime rib. It was roasted on site (a requirement for me to order prime rib rather than a convection oven reheat) and was medium rare as ordered. It was quite good. No complaint on sides and salad either. And the service was excellent. As prime rib goes it was about as good as it gets. Not the place I expected to find in Coshocton. Recommended!

Had the 14oz pork chop and a baked potato! Excellent prep and service...A slight surprise when the bill came and then returned after CC swiped; there was an additional charge of about $5+/- , that I had to ask about, for "credit card service fee". NOPE...!This surprise charge is mentioned nowhere on menus, by staff or on the initial bill presentation. Probably not even legal to do it that way. I requested a reversal of the CC charges which was immediately taken care of. I then paid cash for the meals.I understand that there's a charge to the seller to accept a CC. I don't expect that fee to be passed on to me without adequate and proper notification. I also understand that other establishments may increase their goods cost by a few cents each to cover those CC charges but to wholesale add the entire cost to each invoice/bill seems unfair.

First thing in the door was a sign stating no flip flops allowed......sorry, wearing mine. Service was slow. We had crabcakes appetizer.....very fishy tasting. We asked for more bread but the kitchen had turned the oven off even though the restaurant was still full so we could not get any more. Then the main course arrived.....$25 for chicken teriyaki. Was supposed to be over penne, was angel hair. The sauce was extremely watery, chicken dry and portion was so small we both left hungry....even with an $80 bill! Extremely overpriced!!!

Hats off to the chef! By far the best dinner we've had in a long time if not ever! The lobster bisque was hands down superior to any other out there! Crab stuffed mushrooms, fantastic! Crab cakes were amazing as well! The halibut was excellent... The rice and charred asparagus paired perfectly with the fresh pure taste of the halibut! We were only in town for a volleyball tournament, but will definitely be back again to try other things on their exquisite menu!!

Awesome rustic vibe, makes you feel like you're really in a saloon. There's a pool table, and working phone booth! Definitely worth checking out, not to mention the great service, and good food!

The service was good, the food was good too. I recommend it to anyone wanting a sit down meal. They had cool antiques, like an old working phonebooth. There was a pool table that was free of charge to play. If ever back in the area this will be somewhere worth stopping at. Not crowded either and surprised at how good it was. The ham and swiss was the entree I had and it was good. Fries that came with it were good too. Atmosphere was good. Food and service was good. Overall really good time.
