Y'all complaining about the flies...however...not one person said they got sick from the food...and don't be acting like you've never put something dirty or questionable in your mouths before....so kindly shut your mouths up... This post is an honest and real review... When we pulled in, we were unsure what to expect...but when that little sweet lady, Lori, greeted us...all my hesitations disappeared. I looked at my friend, and said...this chic is about to blow our minds!!! And I was NOT wrong!!! I compare the experience of Shokeys to an outside family BBQ. Is it summer? Is it hot? Are you surrounded by fields and farm animals? Of course there are flies...she is ONE person...running a business, running a farm, AND taking care of someone she loved very much while he was dying....sorry she didn't think to update her social media....How awful that you were inconvenienced. Hopefully you never have to go through something like that. Whenever we make it there.. we are welcomed like family....the food is so good....and the prices are unbeatable!!!! If you only think food is good if your in an upscale establishment, then go there. Shokeys is perfect as is.”

“I’m originally from Coshocton , I’ve lived in Indianapolis the past 10 years, I took my son to this restaurant on Sunday 1-26-2025, we both had the Walleye dinner and I have to say it was the best Walleye we have ever eaten, just want to let you know what a great experience it was! Keep up the great work!!”

“Great place in the heart of Roscoe Village. Had the onion rings, wings, And ribs with sweet potato fries. Everything was fantastic. The wings were excellent the buffalo sauce wasn’t generic, the onion rings were exceptional and the ribs were fall off the bone and sauced well. The sweet potato fries had a maple type sauce on them that made them very tasty. The server was great and very attentive. Would definitely return.”

“Best ribeye steak in this part of Ohio. Cooked to perfection. Very large portions. Be prepared to take a takeout box. Server was very knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. Owner came by table to ensure everything was fine. Everything was great.”

“MY WIFE AND I WERE THERE 6 WEEKS AGO. THERE IS A YOUNG MAN (EMPLOYEE)WITH A MOP OF HAIR ON TOP THAT COULDN'T KEEP HIS FINGERS OUT OF IT AND HAD ZERO RESPECT FOR THE COUSTOMERS. ALWAYS IH THE WAY AND DID NOTHING TO HELP ON THE FLOOR. TODAY I WAS BY MYSELF. THERE WAS ONE LADY ON THE FLOOR. MUST HAVE BEEN BUSY BEFORE I GOT THERE. TABLES NOT CLEAN. THIS LADY WAS RUNNING HER BEHIND OFF TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF NEW/OLD COSTUMERS, SALAD BAR, CLEANING TABLES AND TAKING CARE OF THE REGISTER WITH ZERO HELP. SHE NEEDS A RAISE!1111!!! I DON'T KNOW 15 MINUTES LATER HERE COMES THIS EMPLOYEE WITH THE MOP FOR HAIR FROM BEHIND THE CASH REGISTER LOOKED AROUND AT THE MESS IN THE DINING ROOM AND DISAPPEARED. 10 MINUTESLATER HERE HI COMES AGAIN LOOKS AROUND AND IN THE BACK HE GOES. DID ZERO TO HELP ON THE FLOOR. DOES MANAGEMENT NOT SEE ANY OF THIS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AWHILE. WHY DOES HE STIIL HAVE A JOB????????? BY THE TIME I LEFT THE LADY ON THE FLOOR HAD THE DINING ROOM CLEANED UP AND COSTUMERS HAPPY.”

“Absolutely blown away by this tiny hole in the wall diner. Fast service, great menu, insane prices, and drop dead delectable food. If you're looking for a diner, I'd gladly drive 45 to an hour out of my way to eat here again.”

“I didn't even know there was a restaurant in Bueller's market. It was actually pretty good, I just had a burger and fries, but I would definitely visit again. The waitress was exceptional.”

“the cheesecake was exceptional. the coffee and matcha were good, but not very sweet, even for someone who doesnt put sweetener in their latter. very polite staff, but they need a better system because one of the poor baristas had to walk everywhere because people walked away from the counter before getting their coffee.”

“There was a super sweet woman who helped me walk my drinks out to the car because I had two kiddos with me. I’ve never went out to eat and had such outstanding service. Such kind people work here by far my best going out experience with 2 under two!

Kid-friendliness: A worker went above and beyond to make sure my kids made it to my car safely.”

“Fresh fresh fresh! I felt bad that I just grabbed my food and left though. I hope they were paying attention because they didn't greet me upon entering the store (they were assisting someone else) so anyone could've just walked in and took the food. Just saying 🤷”

“I know Hardee's in New Ulm MN has had some issues, but I went there today and was more than impressed! there were at least four people working there and they were so friendly and the food came really fast. it was fresh and hot and delicious! I can't wait to go there again, it looks like they have really pulled it together!”
