“My all time favorite place to dine in Amish country! Fried chicken was piping hot out of the fryer as I like it! Deborah was our outstanding waitress. Only thing missing were stewed/creamed tomatos! I visit from Apple Valley Lake Howard Ohio at least once a season! Enjoy the theatres as well when time permits!”

“4 of us dined at Der Dutchman on December 27, 2025. We each chose the buffet as our entrees. The food was hot and fresh and the selection exceeded our expectations. Our server was Ruby and she greeted us as soon as we were seated. She was one of the most pleasant servers I have ever had at a restaurant. She kept our drinks refilled and made sure we were happy with our meals. I want to give her a personal thanks for making our meal so delightful.”

The staff was extremely friendly and kind, the hot cocoa was so good, and was topped with a homemade marshmallow, and the doughnuts were to die for !! “Selection of bulk items was surprisingly good for a smaller store. Baking supplies, lots of snack items, kitchen tools. And then there was the deli with a tempting array of meats and cheeses. The cafe menu, eat in at the cute little attached dining room or carry out, was a substantial variety to please any hungry diner. The service was 5 star- efficient, friendly and patient with me on my first time order. The food was appealing, hot and delicious.

“I am recommending the Sprouted Spelt Bread as well as the Sprouted Biblical Spelt Bread made with Lentil and Miller Flour. They are all organically grown. I discovered the Spelt bread at DLM in Centerville, it was so great that I went back to buy some more but they did not have any more. So I ordered from Berlin Natural Bakery…6 breads at the time, as well as flours and sweeter things. I would love to visit the Bakery some time!
