make a stop at The WhistleStop. This cozy little spot is the kind of place you almost don’t want to share because it’s that good… but food this delicious deserves to be celebrated!

I started with the fried green tomatoes, and let me just say — wow. Perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. They were seasoned just right, and the dipping sauce that came with them took it to another level. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had, and an absolute must-try.

For my main dish, I had the hamburger salad, and it was just as impressive. It came out fresh, loaded with toppings, and had that perfect balance of juicy beef and crisp greens. It was hearty without being too heavy, and I loved every bite. It’s a great option if you’re looking for something a little lighter but still packed with flavor.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at The Whistle Stop is just as inviting. There’s a friendly, small-town charm that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind and you can tell they take pride in what they do and care about their customers.

The young man who served us last was wonderful very polite and kept checking on us A+ to the server! The chicken strips were a little less meaty and the coating a lot more crunchy than I like, but to each their own. Hand cut fries were good 👍“
