Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips

I live in University Hts where an Arthur Treachers just opened. I'm not a Cleveland native so this chain doesn't have any special nostalgia to me but I looked up and liked the story. 800 locations at one time and Cuyahoga Falls one of the last but possibly making a comeback. When I originally looked it up I saw the Cuyahoga falls location and dismissed it as too far thinking I'll never go there to the sit down location. Well 2 mo later I was in Peninsula on a motorcycle trip and saw a sign saying I was in Cuyahoga Falls and remembered this location which was down the street so I went there. I got a 3pc fish and 3pc chicken dinner. Everything was perfectly fresh and tasted like just out of the fryer. While I do like the batter of Long John Silvers better Arthur Treacher's fries are way better. At this location I got fresh food that tasted good, service was fine and got to be in the location you can see on ytube vids of one of the original locations for over 50 years which made it cool that I was there. If you're a fan of Arthur Treacher's food this location will give that fresh food AT experience and I have nothing negative to say about my experience at this location. The food I got was hot, fresh and fast. The fries and hush puppies particularly were excellent to me. If I was in the area again I would definitely stop buy. Thanks for a great dine in experience.

I'm glad the new owner is investing in the place so it stays open, however he's made some changes when he promised not to change the food. He made the pieces of fish smaller, got rid of the unsweetened iced tea, and is very stingy about the sauces. Like come on, we didn't drive so far just for you to be stingy on sauce!

Was not impressed. The food was mediocre at best. I think long johns is better. Maybe it was time of day, and food was made earlier but it was not that great. This was about 2:30 after lunch and before dinner.

Fish was okay but the breading was heavy. Employees seem less than enthusiastic, and overall appearance was dull.

The food was hot but not really tasty, a little overcooked, and the clams were too fishy. But the service was great and restaurant was very clean. I will go back, may have been an off day.

Went through the drive-thru and it took quite sometime to get my order. The car.in front of me had a long wait as well.

Haven't been at one of those places since the late 70's. Drove all the way from Pittsburgh PA. We'll worth the trip...a lot better than Long John Silver's fish. Loved the hush puppies! Wish we had one in the Burg.
