“We ordered a salad topped with salmon, French Onion Soup and the sirloin and mashed potatoes. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the salmon served medium as ordered. It was very good. The French onion soup was excellent with plenty of onions in a tasty broth. The sirloin was cooked medium as ordered. It tasted great but was a bit tough to chew. Service was very good - friendly and efficient.“
“I like the place more and more with each visit. The distillery spirits are good and for sale at Silver Spirits. I dislike the gin but I like juniper gin. This struck me as more like Hendrix so if you like the florals you will love this gin. Like the Bourbon. Their Bourbon Manhattans are pricy, but worth it. And the bill encourages people to drink appropriate amounts. We have a deaf guy we go out with (cochlear implant) and they are most accommodating to get us into a space where we can talk.Never have had a bad experience with the staff. They are bright, courteous, and hard working. Tip themI've been going through a hamburger phase and I love them. I recommend medium. They hold together well and are pinkish inside. I haven't had other menu items in ages but those items were also good.Vegetarian options: They are flexible. Just ask.Dietary restrictions: They are flexible. Just ask.Parking: Adjacent lots make lots of parking available at dinner.Wheelchair accessibility: ADA, baby“
“$18.00 bar tab. Need I say more? No, but I will. Redstone is an old bar in an old neighborhood in Akron. It is old school and cozy. The regulars hang at the bar sipping beers and cocktails. Talking about the same things they talked about yesterday because, well, it is Akron. The husband and wife team owners are very nice and friendly. They are, however, new to the bar owner game and have some things to learn. Taking a class of Bar Owning 101 should help. If you visit Redstone and the owner (wife) is your bartender and you order a cocktail, be prepared to help her with it. My buddy ordered a vodka tonic and he had to help her with the ingredients. I know, I know, vodka tonic. She was super sweet and with a bit of help she made a quality vodka tonic. Becky and I were having bottled beer/canned White Claw, so no issues. The next time we are in Akron, you can be sure we will visit Redstone again. $2.75 for a bottle of beer, are you kidding me? My last beer was at happy hour price, $2.00! Are you friggin' serious right now? Two bucks for a beer? Hell yeah we'll be back to Redstone! We can't afford not to! Yuengling!“
“Small and cozy with excellent food. The service was excellent. I had the fish fry and my wife had a pear salad with Salmon. The Salmon was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The food was all presented nicely on the plates, especially the dessert. Definitely will go back.“
