After watching an episode of the Foods that Built America that included Blimpie and Subway I wondered if there was still a Blimpie around because I hadn’t had it years. At first I was let down when I saw it was in a gas station but I went anyway and was pleasantly surprised. The station and restaurant look to be family owned and operated and were extremely clean inside. I ordered a sub and the meat and cheese was sliced fresh in front of me. This was actually better than I remembered Blimpie being when I was younger. The bread was thick and fresh and they used to use premade rolls and pre sliced meat. They used to be about like Subway only slightly better. This was far better than any Subway. It was actually right in line with Jersey Mikes. I definitely recommend going here. They aren’t very busy so I fear it will close from lack of traffic but that would be a shame because it’s absolutely delicious.
