This is an awesome location under 10 minutes from downtown right on the river. The hotel is very dated and needs a refresh in the rooms. All the ice machines were broken. The night staff was very professional, but the people working in the morning were not. AC was excellent and had great water pressure.

Nasty. Killed a roach in my bathroom, along with there being hair in the shower when we first got there. Tub took a 30 min to drain. Beds were horrible and hallway carpets disgusting and full of stains. Needs a major overhaul and deep cleaning

Super friendly people. Get the French toast and strawberries! It's so good. I only had breakfast here.

Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu.

Food was marginal, about the same as across the street at Mcdonalds, but twice the price. They hand you a form to fill out and bring to the front desk rather than just billing you normally. I'll make the effort to walk to another restaurant in the area from now on.

Have been staying at this hotel for several years for an annual event. Rates for the event weekend next year are published and it is almost triple the normal rate. How can they get away with that, it is absurd. Should not be allowed to rip off their guests.

Great staff. Very clean. A large and nice lobby/lounge area. Lots of beer choices. Good coffee. Nothing to complain about. Very handy off 75 and the gas stations close by. Easy to get to lots of U of Dayton restaurants. Did not use the amenities.

While passing through Ohio on 12/26/22. We encountered bad road conditions from the lack of snow removal by Ohio department of transportation. Around 2:23AM I booked a Marriott online reservation to sleep for a few hours. After arrived at the Marriott Fairfield Inn I explained to female front desk clerk that I booked an online reservation and we needed to rest for 4 to 5 hours; and then continue traveling home. My reservation was booked for 12/26-12/27 with check-in at 3pm (Confirmation# 74803488). I asked the desk clerk would she be able to accommodate us with adjusting the reservation, so we could rest for 5hrs. The desk clerk advised me there was nothing she could do. Thereafter, I offered to pay whatever extra the cost would be to book a room for a few hours and yet again she declined the offer any assistance; and stated that there was nothing she could do. She advised me to return at 3pm when I am allowed to check-in. This was very disappointing to hear from the front desk clerk considering a few hours of rest should not be that difficult to assist with. Walked outside and opened the Marriott app again and cancelled the reservation. While in the front of the hotel I looked on the app again for a Marriott hotel and found a Courtyard nearby. I called the hotel and ask the desk clerk the same question that was presented at the Fairfield Inn. Family of four 2 kids and 2 adults travel home for the holiday just needing to rest for 5hrs. Front desk clerk(Nisha) stated that she could accommodate us and that she'd have a room ready upon arrival. In my opinion this was terrible service and unacceptable to say the least from Fairfield Inn 305 E Monument Ave. Dayton OH.. All praise given to Nisha and the staff at Courtyard 2006 S. Edwin Moses Blvd. Dayton Ohio.

Tried 2 different rooms on 2 different floors, couldnt stomach the odor and moisture in there. The hotel is not up to standard and likely caused me to not feel well after spending just 20 minutes in the room. Had the balcony door open to get airflow but wasn’t helping. DO NOT STAY HERE… new Marriott a mile away is 100% better, they got me in same-day and I regret even booking at courtyard at all now that I know this hotel is here. Hope this helps the next person avoid a similar issue.

Unfortunately, other reviews are correct with respect to a year over a year decline at this property. I was with a group of six staying at this hotel. One room had no AC working properly and the night staff couldn’t figure out how to move him to a new room. Multiple rooms had drainage issues in the sink and bathtub, while carpet stains could be seen and the ice machine was making noise consistently, suggesting a plumbing problem. The ceiling above the pool looks like it’s about to collapse. Amenities in the room are not up to standard. I know Sean is working hard as the manager, and there was a noticeable difference come Monday morning from what we saw on Sunday. But this was definitely not up to par for courtyard by Marriott, and that’s disappointing

I would stay far away from this hotel. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I booked my stay through my credit card travel using some points. At first everything was great, very nice and polite. We booked a suite because we have 2 kids under 3 and need the extra space. 1st room - room 334 - got in it and situated, after about 40 minutes noticed a dripping sound and found it to be a long stain line in the ceiling in the bedroom. I thought no problem I’ll call the front desk and they’ll switch us, which they did into the room above this room. 2nd room - room 434 - in it for about 20 minutes and noticed a ton of tiny ants crawling all over carpet which were semi hard to see because the carpet is black but we had noticed them crawling on our two kids under 3. Felt very uneasy after this, called front desk and said they had no more suites and I requested to have two adjacent rooms to accommodate my booking for a suite which they said they can’t do, and I was being polite by giving them a third chance. At first Dawn was nice and then turned very rude towards my wife. I definitely do not plan to stay at another courtyard Marriot again.

My biggest disappointment was with the bathroom. The floor was disgusting with dust and hair everywhere. The bathroom drain was clogged so by the end of my showers I was calf deep in water. I told the front desk twice but nothing was ever done about it. There was also no housekeeping unless you requested it. The hallways and lobby were also very warm and humid. Pros were that the staff were nice, the room was cool and it was quiet.

The room was shabby. The shower and faucet leaked. What they call a Bistro is embarrassing. The pool area....eech. Let me first state that the staff tried to be helpful. The place is understaffed and most of the new employees are poorly trained. They are nice but often can't help. Room service with towels and sheets can only available in the late afternoon. The Bistro food was abysmal. The offerings are frozen and microwaved. The "bar" was hilarious. It included a half dozen open bottles of wine (opened when, who knows!) and another 7 or 8 bottles of cheap booze. We decided to get a beer in the snack area next to check in. After paying $7 apiece, the beer was warm! The ceiling in the pool area was ready to fall in. The hot tub was either moldy or in significant need to cleaning. My friend and I wanted to get on the road early so we went to check out before 7 AM. For business reasons, we needed to split the bill. The lady at the front desk had never done it before. She tried to call someone but didn't get any help. 45 minutes later the charges on the bill were far higher than the room costs. She could figure out how to change it. We tried to call the manager the next day and left a message. No call back. I feel badly for the staff but I can not recommend that you stay here... even if you are desperate.

Not much of a restaurant, tiny gym. Clean spacious rooms right across from the stadium. Worth it for a place to stay while attending a game or concert as you can walk across the street. not really for families, more for convenience

A huge High Five to the staff at the Courtyard. They were incredibly accommodating this past weekend. My family and I all came from out of town for my Father's Memorial Celebration. We collectively reserved 10+ rooms that all received rave reviews. Precious and the front desk staff were engaging and helpful with any of our requests. Cathie and her team helped organize our mid-day luncheon. We had several requests for A/V equipment, specific centerpieces and alternative lunch items for dietary restrictions. Everything went perfectly. Cathie was extremely helpful with questions and responsive via email and phone. My brother and I were planning this event from out of town (Michigan and Virginia) and Cathie made the process simple. I am still receiving compliments on how classy the luncheon was for our Dad. Thank you again to the staff at the Courtyard Marriott in Dayton.

It started with the front desk workers at check-in time wearing street clothes, purses strapped around their bodies, and talking on their personal cellphones. Next, no housekeeping after 4pm and when I called and asked for STAIN-FREE sheets and duvet, they sent the GARBAGE MAN, in a sweaty, filthy T-shirt holding supposed clean sheets in his hands, against his sweaty body!! So, I left the newly sweaty sheets on the floor and slept in my clothes. Additional problems: one bar of soap at sink and nothing in the shower—gel bottles empty; dust on desks and lamps; filthy bathroom floor and corners; burnt out room phones that were not plugged in (I had to call lobby using my cellphone); stained hall carpet, and, again, stained bedroom sheets! Never again! Avoid at all costs!
