I had a wonderful Birthday dinner at Jay's. It was my first visit but it won't be my last. My whole group loved the food and service. Cory was an excellent server.

My husband and I come to jays seafood a few times a month. Our favorite item is the scallops Andre appetizer. We've been dining at Jays for a few months and we love it! Today was the first time one of our meals were messed up. But absolutely nothing that wasn't corrected. I felt terrible to say anything about the steak not being cooked correctly but the manager and staff were amazing about the issue. We got our bill discounted and a gift card and two free deserts. Couldn't ask for better service. Thank you guys for always making our dining experience amazing!!!!! Thank you to Tasha our server and to the only manager I ever see at the restaurant lol.

The food was good but the hospitality killed the whole experience. If you are Black, expect to be treated like a second class citizen here. They prejudiced as hell and bold as hell with it too. The first time I visited I gave them a pass. In the food industry there are good days and bad days, you never know what’s going on behind the scenes that affects the hospitality/customer service that day. But if it happens more than once it’s a BEHAVIOR and CULTURE. The second time, which was my last time going there was in 2021. I talked to the director of hospitality who bragged to me about being there 30 plus years. When I told her my concerns she said she never noticed anything with her servers, completely tone deaf, and treated me as if I was trying to get a free meal. I left and never went back. The food is far from cheap, so every customer that comes in there regardless of race should feel welcomed, warm, and appreciated for patronizing the establishment. A Black person shouldn’t be frowned upon, mean mugged by waiters and waitresses like a Jim Crow special edition.

The restaurant is iconic for seafood. Really enjoyed the overall experience. Our server was outstanding but I’m very embarrassed to say I cannot recall her name. It is expensive but you do get what you pay for

My wife and I are here for the first time tonight. We looked at the menu ahead of time so the prices did not come as a shock. For the price we expected to taste great food. We did just that! She had a crab leg platter and I had the fisherman’s platter. We started with some raw oysters. Everything was fantastic! Great, fresh tasting seafood that came out quick and was filling. The only one thing we did not care for was the mashed potatoes. Might have just been us though. Seafood was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Gluten free options available. I loved the profiled scallops in garlic butter and creme brulee was really good. Chocolate moose was good but serving size was too much. Party's of 5 or more has automatic gratuity is added. They reimburse the parking fee

Came to Jay's for the first time and was really underwhelmed for the price. For 3 people it was $270 and for that price I expect a much better experience. First of all the place is dark, outdated and dirty. It was so dark we had to use our phones to see the menus. Both the Paragon and the Pine Club have better atmosphere by far. 2nd, they didn't have draft beer. What kind of place that is supposed to be a superior dining experience doesn't have draft beer. 3rd, when we ordered a bake potato as one of the sides they didn't ask what we wanted on it. So when they served it, it was barely sliced. Seriously, we had to look to find where it had been sliced. All they had brought out for it was sour cream. There was no cheese, no bacon and no butter. Every top dining establishment I have been too prepares their baked potato with the toppings or at least asks what toppings you want on it. When we mentioned this to our waitress, another little waitress got snippy and said they didn't serve their potato's that way instead of offering to fix the situation. For $270 they should have done it right to begin with. The food overall was OK but in comparison to the Pine Club or the Paragon for the astronomical price it really stunk. Needless to say we will never be back.
