Drinks and service were great! I enjoyed every bite of my food. We got wings and fries with some of their homemade sauces. Great location next to the baseball stadium and a partial (but still good) view of the fountains on the river. Next time I'm in Dayton, I would definitely come back!
Walked in with some food for our toddler son. Told we couldn't bring food in which I totally understand. I said we'd toss it in the trashcan outside and a very rude waitress said we had to leave and we couldn't come back in. I've been here multiple times with 5 star results but yesterday's service is inexcusable.
Came in for a beer on 3 occasions. Bar tender remembered us from the previous visits. Cool live music (blues, bluegrass, right up my alley). Food was good. Outdoor seating, indoor seating and open air indoor seating is nice!
Visited Lock 27 while in Dayton this past weekend. Service was friendly and atmosphere was relaxed and causal. The drinks were refreshing and the food was delicious. Braised Short Rib Poutine was a 10!
We were at that stage where we were so hungry we couldn't be nice. We were staying at the neighbouring hotel - Marriott so happy this was just across the street! The restaurant was super busy. Our waitress and shadowing waiter were very attentive, polite and helpful.Seems to be a great place for small groups to get together. Joe Waters was playing live. Nice background music. Calmed me while waiting for my dinner.Ordered the Mac & Cheese - sooooo good. Hubby had the buffalo chicken and it was tasty but super messy to eat.Happy belly. Great location. Great atmosphere.
Since there is a micro brewery opening up every week in Ohio with there own flavors such as Hot Dog Water, Beet & Baloney, Trailer Park Tonic and Colon Carrot Cake, you better have some good food! The dry rub wings were outstanding. I was at UD arena and searched "Best Wings Near Me" and it was the first that popped up. Located next to the entrance to Dragon 53rd Field.
I was in town for business and we picked this place on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised by this spacious location. Between my co-worker and I we had most of the beers on tap and enjoyed almost all of them, which is rare for me. Bartenders were friendly and gave good recommendations. Food was tasty if not revolutionary. We were there on a Tuesday which is open mic night. We experienced a couple of musicians, few comedians, and a few things I can’t categorize. Overall 10/10 would recommend.
This brewery was so nice! It was really clean and trendy and the food was wonderful. We also had a fantastic and attentive bar tender who managed the crowd with such ease! He kept sharing samples of beers he thought we’d like based off our first oint order. We felt very taken care of. I definitely recommend the poutine and wings!
Ate here after a family event at the ballpark. Good selection for everyone, including grand-kids. My salad was missing the blue-cheese crumbles, and the candied walnuts were not candied. I'm thinking supply-chain problems. Ambiance was great. Staff was great. Good family dining on a Sunday afternoon.
Lock 27 is located next to Day Air Field. We went prior to a Dragons game, and the place was hopping. The beer selection is large, the beer is quite good, and service was fast and friendly.

Fast friendly service. My husband wasn't too excited when he saw his fish and chips. But said the fish actually tasted really good. He thought the shoestring fries were tasty, but not what you would expect. It was Celtic weekend and they ran out of malt vinegar. My wedge salad was up to par. The only downfall is that it's extremely loud from people talking. Should work on installing some acoustics to help moderate the noise.
Stopped in before a Dragon game to kill sometime, friendly staff and very clean environment. The bathroom sink situation was quite unique (you’ll see what I mean) but in a good way!Didn’t have any food, as we ate prior. But the menu looked good, would go back again for food if I’m ever back in the area.Decent selection of beer, if you’re into that.
Service was horrible, the dining room was dirty, restroom very dirty (old grim and dust), music unnecessary loud where everyone had to shout to have a conversation, couldn’t even hear the server.
Good beer and the wait staff I interacted with really knew their stuff in talking about the various beers available and matching them to taste preferences. However, the food was only mediocre. Not bad by any means but also not particularly great. Given the obvious care and creativity taken in crafting their beer I would have hoped for a similar standard of quality in their food menu as well.
Went here a few weekend ago and it was okay. Atmosphere was vibrant and food was okay. Server didn't really seem all that attentive to us and didn't have a large selection of cocktails that we saw. This is also very hard to find because there is no signage on the street to tell you where to go. As we were leaving we heard people trying to find the place and we happily told them.
