Aguadito de Pollo
Gluten-free. Delicious and hearty chicken soup. Served as the national soup of Peru with yellow potatoes, aji Amarillo, onions, peas, corn, and rice.

Baby Cremini Saltado

Maple leaf farms duck confit and on a bed of herb pappardelle served with a wild mushroom sauce. Topped with arugula and parmesan Reggiano cheese.

Surf and turf. Gluten-free. 7 oz. USDA choice grain-fed Angus filet mignon. Served with jumbo scallop and shrimp skewer with warm chimichurri brown butter. Accompanied by grilled French green beans, saffron, and parmesan cheese risotto.
Machu Picchu Pork Chop
Gluten-free. Marinated and grilled 14 oz. Double bone pork chop topped with spicy rococo chili jam. Served with grilled asparagus, Yukon potato, and leek puree. Cooked to medium temp.

Gluten-free. Bone-in braised new Zealand lamb shank simmered in Andes mountains beer, cilantro, red onions, and red bell peppers. Served with saffron, parmesan cheese risotto, roasted carrots, and topped with red onion Peruvian relish.

Gluten-free. Slow-roasted short ribs served with arugula and Peruvian style grits. Topped with a pisco and luxardo cherry sauce.

Great experience here. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. We don't go to Dayton very often but Salar gives us another reason to go more often.

First, I want to say I really like Salar ... but my last visit was not great. I ordered the scallops and got 4 pretty small scallops that were extremely overcooked and ate like meat for $44. To be fair, I didn't send my food back, mainly because I'm too non-confrontational and feel bad doing that. Regardless, I expect a restaurant of this caliber to realize those scallops should never have left the kitchen. The chef should have known they were dead and expo also...

Sara provided a most memorable night . The drinks were unique and delicious. Service was the best I’ve had . Sara’s recommendations were excellent. I’ll be coming back to try more .
