The place had a old-fashioned vibe. I like the open kitchen concept where you can see a long kitchen under bright light. The guy taking my order was slightly awkward, but I mean it was pretty late so it was slowing down quite a bit. Cheesesteak sandwich and onion rings were both hot and tasty. I will give it a 5*.

I just love submarine house cheese steak subs and the onion rings. I stop by there when I get to Dayton and I go back when I leave Dayton. I recommend the submarine house to everyone .

I am from Philly, and this establishment is 1 of 2 of the best cheesesteaks close to back home I can find here.
My family and I were driving through on our way back home to Virginia. We asked the hotel desk if there were any good places to eat and they suggested here. We arrived and asked for a table for 2 plus the baby, she said the dining section was closed but we could sit at the high tops. Who would sit at a high top with a year and half old? It’s a Friday night and you close half the restaurant, causing all families to be turned away if they don’t sit at a high top. We will be telling the hotel staff not to mention this restaurant when asked for recommendations.

Unfortunately, there was no restroom available, which is an absolute must with kids.An appetizer, 2 medium subs and 2 kids meals costs us just over $50.The atmosphere was less than desired. It was dark and the tables were all sticky - we tried different ones. My husband's shirt kept getting stuck to the table.
