I visited The Foundry Rooftop with a friend to celebrate a birthday, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We were seated promptly at 5:10, but service was noticeably slow: 5:25 – First contact with our waiter, water served, and order taken 5:55 – Appetizers arrived 6:10 – Friend’s entrée arrived 6:20 – My entrée arrived (by this time, my friend was nearly finished eating) On top of the long waits, the overall atmosphere was difficult to enjoy. The music was extremely loud, making the noise level so high that I could barely hear my friend across our small table. Food quality was also underwhelming. My friend’s shrimp and pasta entrée came with only three shrimp, which was very disappointing for the cost. My chicken breast was served with the wing still attached — not sure if that’s considered normal, but it was a first for me and felt odd in presentation. What we hoped would be a special evening turned into a frustrating experience. Between the slow service, overwhelming noise, and disappointing food portions, I cannot recommend The Foundry Rooftop for a nice dinner out.
Food was incredible but our waitress never came back to our table after bringing out the food. We had to find a manager to get our bill.
The burger was spot-on—juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly medium rare. Unfortunately, the bun didn't live up to the patty and threw off the balance of the dish. The watermelon salad had a refreshing mix of grapefruit and walnuts and was thoughtfully composed but with only one small slice of watermelon, it felt a bit misleading. Great flavors, but some key details missed the mark.
Took a little while for us to get water and we had to ask for a drink me menu, but from there, our service was fantastic! I loved the DJ, but it was a little loud. I moved my chair to be closer to my husband's bench seat so we could carry on a conversation. Food was delicious!
I gave you 3 stars because I feel it's a bit pricey. $32.00 for a scallop dish is a bit steep. We had a lovely server (Kennedy). She has been there a short time, but was great with suggestions and very accommodating and attentive. I also enjoyed your speciality cocktails!
The ambiance is nice and the layout works. Unfortunately something happened on our visit and it took over 45 minutes to get our food. Two entrees were done much sooner but someone forgot the third. They arrived together (by request) and two were soggy and merely warm. The manager adjusted our bill accordingly but I can't recommend going here for dinner. Maybe drinks before or after dinner somewhere else would be a safer option.
I've been here several times, and I always enjoy the cool, relaxing vibe. Had one of their pizzas with fig and arugula and it was so good!!
Our server was fantastic! It was a very busy evening and he did a great job! We always enjoy going to The Foundry.
Loved the place, the server was great but there were quite some issues with our food and drinks order. The appetizer (charcuterie board) was good but the bread was old and you could taste it, I ordered a drink and it was made wrong the first time, sent it back and a few minutes later it came back WRONG again, like... they didn't even try to fix it, it took 2 attempts to get it right. The main dish was delicious, no complaints there, but for the price you are paying you would expect to get a margarita done right on the first go.
our waitress was not very attentive , did not appear that busy that she was stretched thin

Really nice place and atmosphere. I'm 61 and perhaps these were the best appetizers I've ever had.
From the hostesses to our fabulous server, Nya, all the way through dinner and dessert, this was a great place to spend our anniversary. We will most definitely be back!
I visited from out of town. Wanted a nice place with ambience; which this place gave. It over looks the beautiful Dayton dragon baseball field. But it was to hot to sit out there. It needs tables with umbrellas. The inside was beautiful a little bit because the windows were open. They are new so I suggest either the vibe you're trying to give the menu needs to explain to meet the ambience. It was very limited. Pizza, limited appetizer. Burger, etc. I expected more selection. Drinks weak and I didn't get what I asked for. I liked the place but it still needs work on delivery of food.
Always a great time at the Foundry! Drinks and pizza were awesome!! We had a blast dancing too!
First time at Foundry and very impressed. Our group of four tried pizza, dinner salad, seafood and everyone was quite satisfied. Would highly recommend.
