“Delicious arepas that hit the spot! I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian stuffed arepa—it was top-notch and full of flavor. My boyfriend had 'the great arepa' and was equally pleased with his choice. Just a heads-up: hold on to your dressings, as they come with an extra charge of a couple of bucks. All in all, a fantastic place to satisfy your arepa cravings!“

“I had the Spanish Chicken soup. Very, very good. Flavorful. Others with me had tacos and or tamales (Mexican & Guatemalan style). They loved their food. Our waiter was very helpful with our questions. I don't go to places where you are paying for ambiance and decor. I go for the food. Can't wait to go back.“

“After a long day of shopping at IKEA, we stumbled upon this hidden gem, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming, with particular shoutout to Eduardo, who made our experience even more enjoyable.
The carne asada was hands down the best steak we’ve ever had. Its tenderness was beyond compare, easily surpassing any five-star steakhouse we’ve been to!
We also had some drinks, and I highly recommend trying the Horny Juanito; it was delicious and perfectly complemented our meal.
If you’re in the area, this restaurant is a must-try! You won’t regret it!“

“Ordered Christmas dinner for my family of 12 and everything was excellent. Chef Arismendi did an outstanding job and everything from the pernil de cerdo, arroz con gandules, empanadas, sweet plantains and flan were very well made. Everyone enjoyed it. I will be back for more. ¡Feliz Navidad!“

“We tried this place for the first time today. It was so delicious. The best empanadas I have ever had. I wish I bought some more to go. I grew up in Chicago with all types of great food so that says a lot. You will not be disappointed and definitely should try this place! I will definitely be back soon!“

“I had the pleasure of trying the Jerk Chicken Quesadilla from Shango’s Urban Taqueria at The Gatherall at Factory 52, and wow – this was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten! The smoked jerk chicken combined with pico, fire-roasted corn, and melty chihuahua cheese, all topped with their amazing DRIP Sauce, made for an unforgettable flavor experience.
On top of the incredible food, the service was fast, friendly, and truly accommodating. Shango’s is a gem that I can’t recommend enough, both for the food and the wonderful service. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it!“

“We wandered in here late on a Sunday night from the hotel across the street and heard this place was good (ironically from the Ramen place that had run out of noodles). They had run out of ingredients for the Cuban sandwich my hubby had wanted and the guy was super apologetic. We decided to share the Who Dey bowl--delicious!--and even gave us a free beef empanada to make up for the Cubano. Super kind and really great service. Highly recommend!“
