You are taking reservations for place that is closed. I had a gift card I wanted to use, but now can't. Anyway I can get a refund?
We love 1808!! Hands down one of the best restaurants in Columbus. So sad to hear they are closing. But eagerly waiting for the new restaurant opening next spring!!
1808 is our favorite restaurant. My husband and I have been coming every Friday for a year since we moved to Deleware. We always sat at the bar, and have always had the best service. We are very sad to see the restaurant go, it feels like a friend is moving away and we said our last good bye last night. We wish the owner the best with his businesses, thank you for servicing us in Deleware.
1808 has been a family favorite since they opened over 15 years ago. We had another excellent meal. We are saddened by its closure, but wish Josh Dalton continued success in his next chapter.
Love it. We had the best evening. We love 1808! It's one of our very favorite restaurants ever and we are so sad it's closing
Once again, 1808 did not disappoint! Our meals (shrimp & grits, Caesar salad with chicken, 1808 salad with shrimp and the famous Mac & cheese!) were all fabulous. Our server, Noah, was knowledgeable, friendly and spot on. His recommendation on the bread pudding was accepted and ravaged! We are so hoping 1808 will locate another location in Delaware soon.
We will MISS 1808. We had this reso for our anniversary prior to the announcement of closing. We were originally seated right next to the host stand. I was sad by this since I requested a booth/table and it was a special event. Obviously we tried to be understanding since the announcement of closing changed things for 1808. It was very busy and hard for us to hold any sort of conversation since every few seconds someone came in for a table but it was reservations only at that point. Hearing upset customers etc wasn't our vibe for our anniversary and I wish management would have thought of that instead of seating us next to the host stand/even the bar area on the announcement of closing. We ended up asking for our table to be changed, after moving inside the bar to another table our experience was wonderful and server made our night feel special again. 1808 was a Delaware gem and will be sadly missed.
We've come to 1808 for many special occasions and just to have a great meal. We are sad to see it close.
Food and service was excellent. Our server, Tony was top notch and made excellent suggestions when we were trying to decide on what entrees we wanted. Wasn't too loud in there and was easy to have a conversation over dinner. Our cocktails were great and dessert was excellent as well. We'll be back!
Our server was great however, the kitchen should have told him to tell the guest that the ribeye was not good quality because the good steaks didn't arrive. We had guests out of state and took them to 1808 for a spectacular dinner. Didn't happen. They offered to replace it with another steak but the evening had already been miserably unacceptable due to the steak. We will not be going back. If a restaurant cannot supply great food as people are used to at that facility, the server should be informed and subsequently inform the guest and suggest something else. Sure, they took the bad meat off the bill, big deal...didn't help. Very embarrassing evening.

My guests and I were well satisfied with everything. They were from out of turn and were very impressed at the quality of everything.
Came as a recommendation so we decided to take the drive to Delaware from Columbus. Didn't know what to expect. Our food was very good and service was excellent. We had the filet medallions and scallops. It's worth visit and the drive.
Had a great meal. They do a good job of elevating things to better versions. Was kind of skeptical of bread as being something you pay separately for but ordered it anyway and it was a generous number of really good rolls with seasoned butter. Got beignets for dessert and figured fried dough would be good but nothing special and those were elevated too. Our salads and entrees were great too.
We decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews we read on OpenTable. Our experience was mixed. The food was okay and inconsistent. We started with the Roasted Cauliflower that wasn't cooked the same throughout the meal but the flavor was good but the goat cheese spread was so think it was difficult. The Beef Carpaccio was outstanding. There house salad is very generous in size but needed maybe cranberries to balance the taste. The quality of the beef was certainly not prime nor did they advertise as such. It was chewy. I had ordered the 16 oz ribeye steak and they brought me 2 small steaks that I presume were 8 oz each. The flavor and tenderness in a thin steak no matter if it was cooked properly just isn't the same. My Wife ordered the Filet Medallions and again chewy and the mash gorgonzola mash potatoes were not mixed and the flavor was very strong on some parts and nothing in others. The Rolls were a bust for $7.00. You got 6 dry rolls with a garlic powder mixed into butter that made it honestly not tasty at any level. If they would have offered maybe a honey butter or a chive and butter, anything but dry garlic mixed into abutter and it was so dark and granule. I know It sounds like a tough review but it is honest. The server however was outstanding.
I personally think this place is a must hit if you are in the City of Delaware and you’ve never been here before. The food is amazing, the customer service is equivalent. The atmosphere is not fine dining, but it’s almost there. I think that’s why I like it so much. It’s try’s super hard to give you that experience, but does not expect you the customer to dress up fancy and be some you are not (If that makes any sense).
