What a HUGE disappointment. In early March, I made lunch reservations for 12 people for a date in April in their Cafe. A Proper Garden confirmed the reservation, discussed menu options with me and gave me a date for my final count. My luncheon invitations have all gone out and my gals have started to RSVP to me. HOWEVER, 10 days later, A Proper Garden called to say they were double booked on my date in April and were canceling my reservation. The other booking (which was for 20 people) had never been written in their reservation book by the business owner. I'm stunned! Beware - you, too could have your plans at the Cafe canceled abruptly. I will now book my event at some other another business who cares about Customer Service. It is regrettable that they had a breakdown in communication within their reservation process. Things happen. But, the business owner made no attempt to correct his mistake in a way that would make me feel like a valued customer. They won't ever have my business in the future.

Beautiful store!! One focus is MacKenzie-Childs products which is a favorite! The greenhouse plants are always beautiful and healthy

Beware! Deadbeats! They brought product in from Oregon to sell, and did not pay the freight bill, and won't answer their phone or respond to emails. Tried taking them to collections, still not response.

This establishment transcends the typical nursery or garden; it's a beloved local gem where one can immerse themselves in a world of botanical wonders. Here, you'll discover a wide array of plants, flowers, and decorative items that will captivate your senses and elevate your surroundings.Recently, I had the pleasure of hosting a book club meeting at their cafe, a delightful surprise as I was previously unaware of their culinary offerings. The menu they offer for brunch is truly outstanding, featuring a delectable selection of dishes that cater to diverse tastes. Among the highlights were the scrumptious Four Cheese Quiche and the mouthwatering Harvest Quiche, which I had the pleasure of savoring. The Grilled Vegetable Flatbread and Risotto were equally impressive, showcasing their commitment to fresh and flavorful ingredients. To top off the culinary journey, their seasonal plated dessert, featuring a delightful of sorbet and cheesecake, was a heavenly finale. It's a place where you can savor both the beauty of nature and the pleasures of gastronomy. This place is my favorite!

Beware of special orders. We ordered a fountain in Feb. After 4months of no response via text, emails, multiple phone messages and even a personal visit and no answers to status of our order. We finally disputed the charge. No way to conduct business. Sad because it is a cute nursery. It is however not good customer service to not respond after four months

Usually I like this place but when I went tonight there was a dog that was present. For those of us afraid of dogs or allergic this does not make for a relaxing shopping experience and I can’t trust shopping there now since dog allergens might be on items. I also wouldn’t eat there because of this.

A Proper Garden has a gorgeous and very large selection of plants! I love the way the flowering perennials are displayed by color group and the wide walkways between/around the displays. They carry huge planters and I spied pavers and landscape materials off to one side of the store area so I can only imagine what high end clients they must serve. The gift shop is pretty much mind blowing with its array of unique and classy home goods. If you go be sure to bring your (very full) wallet ; )

Always healthy plants...and great specimens. Their gift shop sells wonder table scape items. This is my special treat stop on the spring planting season.

Randomly saw this place while going down the road and went in. It's such a cute shop with so many serverware and deco items. They had a selection of Pansy flowers and few indoor plants, but not that much. We went in Spring and maybe that was the reason. The cafe was closed when we went , so couldn't try anything. The items in the shop are super expensive !

Beautiful store and wonderful food. A bit pricey for me but it is well worth the trip to decide for yourself. Magicians in art deco.

My first time visit to this enchanted treasure destination! Each one of your senses will be pleasured. Owner Bob Van Cura has created the ultimate luxury exhibition! Inspirational floral designs, stunning Mackenzie-Childs creations, elegant outdoor furnishings, exotic flourishing plant life surrounded by fountains for every decor. Last but not least visit the old style European Bistro to reserve your table for a intimate luncheon. A must experience!

A beautiful store! I recommend checking it out, especially for inspiration. Expect to pay high end prices, this is not the place for a bargain .

Very disappointed. Took a friend here for her Birthday and it was a Big Fail. Hardly any plants, fountains not even running. Had reservation at Cafe and horrible food. The quiche was a 3 bite size of over done burnt egg and brussel sprouts in a little cup floating in sauce $14.00‼️ My Friends sandwich was all bread with a hint of ham & cheese. She did say the little side of salad was good, also $14.00. Don't waste your time or $. Its a store of overpriced Makenzie Child items.

Very nice, good selection of flowers, homey stuff inside their store (plates, cups, pillows, wall decorations, etc), and a nice cute cafe to grab a bite at.

Just stop here and eat. Do yourself a favor and check the place out. The quiche was fantastic. Chef makes you feel right at home like you have been long time friends. What a fantastic atmosphere and great vibe inside. The service was top notch
