Whenever we're in downtown Delaware OH, we always stop by J Gumbo's for lunch. The food is tasty and generously portioned, at very reasonable prices. Great soda selections too! (For example, no other restaurant has their extensive diet pop options. Gotta save those calories for mac n cheese base or extra french bread with butter!) The service is always super friendly, and fast to boot. There's also a cute dine-in area to enjoy your meal.

One of my favorite fast-casual places. Everything is delicious! I don't get up here enough but last Mardi Gras I had lunch and then took food home for dinner. Generous portions and everything is packed with flavor.
My wife loves this place and has come here for years with her friends and raved about it. She is always remembered for who she is and what she orders. I gave it a shot once and then again, and now I'm hooked! I'll be trying something different every time I come in because it all looks incredible or interesting. Mr. Upton is an absolute Master of his craft and holds the standard that all business owners should measure themselves against. Food is delicious, prices are fair, it's always clean and pleasant inside, the staff are second to none, and it all just makes you WANT to come back. I wanted to post all of this yesterday with my 5 star submission but wasn't able to, but a written updated review was necessary. Thank you for all that you do, Mr. Upton.

We used to visit the Gahanna location regularly before it was closed after the pandemic but recently found out they had one in Delaware. DEFINITELY worth the drive. It was as delicious as we remembered it years ago. We both had gumbo & jambalaya combo with shrimp added. VERY yummy. And the food’s so heavy we had another meal leftover to take home for later. Young man running the front was super friendly & checked on us couple times as we dined. Great food, great service, nice private dining room in the back. No lines right at beginning of dinner time. Highly recommend. Will absolutely come back again soon!

Absolutely amazing. The food quality was top notch. The manager was serving and his service was fantastic. He encouraged samples and gave his recommendations. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had black and blue dip, voodoo chicken and honey sriracha chicken. We will definitely be back.
