Every experience I’ve had here has been a different level of good and bad. The older gentleman up front is fairly nice to interact with, however whatever woman takes orders over the phone, could do better, I get the same thing every time (or try to at least) and I’m unsure why the last few times I get told we don’t do that or don’t have that or they just flat out make my order wrong and I don’t realize until I get home. I have a 7 year old and 6 month old, I will NOT run all over town because people can’t just do things properly. I enjoy the food, it’s the best Chinese in town honestly, but only when the order is correct, and the person who takes orders and makes orders uses their brain a bit better.

This is my families go-to Chinese restaurant. Sesame chicken is my favorite, but I can honestly say we have tried dozens of different items on the menu and never gotten bad food. There are a few tables and chairs inside where you can eat, but this is definitely more of a take out place. Everyone there we have talked to has been extremely kind despite usually always being very busy.

So I’m not an actual customer of joys village but I’m a doordash driver and go there often. The man at the front is the nicest and friendliest person I’ve ever met! I doordash at a lot of restaurants and a lot of places do have very nice employees but he is by far the friendliest.

Amazing people and food. They make their stuff in house, great price, sizable portions, and just unbeatable in flavor. Must try the Teriyaki specials, Pad Thai, and the Pot Stickers!

We got Seasame Chicken and Sweet & Sour chicken. This was our first time ordering from here and everything was delicious!

Drove an hour to visit a local tattoo shop, walking out the smell of the food drew us to try Joy’s… DEST DECISION EVER! The food was exactly what I look for in Chinese food! It’s hard to find a place around that reminds me of what I ate when I was younger. Needless to say, I looked at my husband 3 bites in and told him any time he wants Chinese food, we can drive the hour there. 10/10 on both food and service. The cashier was so awesome and had an amazing sense of humor! The owner was there and was absolutely wonderful!

House made soups, sauces, rangoon and egg/spring rolls every morning. Vegetables were all super fresh. We are kind of picky and everything was perfect and ready quickly while I waited. Great service from a family owned local, clean company. Please support 😊

For months I have b en asking local friends, colleagues and clients to eat at Joy’s Village - and everyone refused. All have horror stories that sound more like urban legends than the truth. So on a day. Needed to run a few quick errands in Delaware I dropped in solo. My go to for testing a new-to-me Asian Restaurant is General Tso’s chicken. I use that as a barometer for deciding to come back and try any house specialties. There will be no return nor any trial and possibly greater error than not just listening to my friends in the first place. I even walked in very hungry - which can gloss over a multitude of culinary sins. Had I not been starving, I doubt I would have eaten as much as I did. Save yourselves. Find a different place to dine.
