Unacceptable. Paid $18 for the garbage clam and shrimp thing. All sauce was in the bottom of the bag, and the lady I spoke to by phone, who handed it to my boyfriend, blamed it on my boyfriend. Here's pictures.

Outside bar was nice and cool, bartender was very attentive. Got the fried mushrooms and shared a rueben and steak fries. Overall pretty good. The batter on the mushrooms could use some seasonings. Good music!

Fish & Chips Royalty — Gracious Portions, Consistent Flavor

Old Bag of Nails in Delaware, OH delivers every single time. Their fish and chips are the stuff of local legend — perfectly golden, flaky on the inside, and served in gracious, generous portions that make you feel like you’ve truly gotten your money’s worth.

What really sets them apart is the consistency. Doesn’t matter when you go — lunch, dinner, weekday, weekend — that fish comes out hot, crispy, and delicious every time. Add in a welcoming pub vibe and attentive service, and it’s the kind of place you keep coming back to.

If you’re craving classic comfort food done exceptionally well, this is the spot.

We went in on a Saturday afternoon. Place wasn’t too busy and we sat inside. Restaurant was fairly clean and had a good atmosphere. Only giving three stars because our service was wonderful and the waitress was incredibly bubbly and sweet. Our food was delicious, fish and chips 10/10. Some of the best me and my friend have had! Shout out to the cook.
The bad part:
This could have easily been a 5 star review, however in a very ugly turn of events I guess it was the manager there at the time (an older lady with blonde hair) could be heard from our seats screaming and yelling at the staff. Including our very sweet waitress who was a younger gal. She didn’t even try to conceal herself. Me and my friend just looked at each other in disbelief. She walked past our table a couple times and didn’t give a very pleasant demeanor. This place is great but we just felt bad for the staff. Hopefully this was just an off day or something and this isn’t something regular for them.

First time dining in. It was a cooler evening so we sat outside. I wasn't expecting the plastic lawn chairs...and my husband's had a broken back 😅 suggestion (wooden lawn chairs if you want the cozy fire pit vibe)

Food was good, New England Reuben is my new favorite Reuben!

I suggest you come with an idea of what you like or are open to trying it out and finding out because the waitress, though super friendly, didn't have any suggestions (what's good? Suggestions? What beers from red to darker do you have? Ets) 😅

Still, fun family outing and we'll be back!

Truly not what we expected. Came in for a nice date night and our service was so horrible we got the check and went to another bar. We got our appetizer and ate it before our drinks were even served. We waited 22 minutes for a drink. Definitely will NOT return. Restrooms also reeked of pee…

The food is good. Who can resist the fish? I'm an original customer to the original in Ol Worthington. I for one, after being here in Delaware.....Do not like the fact that there is a us flag hanging as a prop in there. The US flag is not a prop. I dislike the Fox news, too on the TV. . I don't know who they are trying to cater too or please. But it's not cool at all. I miss my original bag of nails! No flags as a prop, and no news. Not going back, in Delaware.
