I’ve been a customer for a couple of years and use to love this place, but the last couple months it seems like the quality of the pizza has gone down and the customer service has gone down hill as well. I ordered a pizza online a couple days ago for delivery, initially it estimated 35 minutes for delivery on a Wednesday night. After about 50 minutes and the pizza not being delivered I contacted Payne’s to which a lady answered and pretty much told me the pizza is not at the store therefore it’s on it was to be delivered. Another 20 minutes pass and no pizza still, I called again, a guy answers gives the same explanation, I tell him I want to cancel the order, he puts me on hold, then the same lady from before gets the phone and tells me it should be on its way with an attitude, I tell her it’s fine I don’t want it, by this point the pizza will probably be cold by the time I get it, she puts me on hold again and with an attitude, tells me my money will be back on my card, doesn’t say sorry for the inconvenience, nothing else and hangs up the phone. The delivery driver delivered the pizza 1.5 hours after the order was placed, he was told the order was cancelled and he took the pizza back with him.

Went there for an early dinner with my husband. We was just about done when one of the employees came in and was very loud with with another employee about how this employees didn't like him. Got pretty loud in the back with employees. Please remember that others can hear you loud as day in your dining area. If there is an issue with each other, take it the hell outside. I very much like Paynes, but I will not be back to this location again.

Skipped on toppings for the Big Daddy pizza I had delivered yesterday. Pizza had a little less than half of the toppings that I got last time on Big Daddy:( Charging $1.50 for extra sauce used to be free of charge:(

Called for carryout at 8:59pm on Wednesday 8/22. Didn't have the sub my wife wanted. Said I'll call right back when she decides which sub she wants. Called back twice at 9:05pm. Phone rang and rang both times no one would answer and they close at 9:30pm. Not very professional at all. I'm surprised I have called as late as 9:15pm in the past and someone answered and took my carryout order no problem! Too bad we like their subs and were going to order two full subs. Has us second-guessing whether we are going to order from Paynes in Delaware again. We ended up ordering from Donatos, and they were happy to answer their phone, take our order, and prepare us our order in a professional manner. Some businesses want to make money, some I'm not so sure about!!

Very good pizza and they have a combo pizza and salad bar on most evenings. The price is very reasonable. I will definitely eat here again
