Queso Fuego has come a long way since its opening so if you haven't been back since then, I encourage you to give this Tex-Mex spot a shot. We stopped in last night and had a great meal. They add to the menu frequently so every time you go back you could see something new to try. We arrived early so the place wasn't too busy and service was prompt. I liked their salsa, thick and sweet with a little heat, and especially the tortilla chips which were yellow corn and paper thin like you get at some restaurants. I ordered chicken tacos with a side of rice and Mexican corn. I think the tacos are the best in Delaware, really a lot of flavor and the grilled tortillas are a nice touch, too, much better than the usual steamed fare at other Mexican restaurants. The chicken is marinated overnight and has a nice flavor, can't comment on the other meats. Mexican corn is tasty, roasted and cut off the cob with roasted peppers and onion. My only suggestion to the owner would be to include a fourth tortilla, since they give you plenty of food. My son ordered the Mexican BLT, which is sour dough bread with spicy bacon, tomato and lettuce of course, and a chipotle avocado sauce. Definitely worth ordering again. The Mexican spiced fries were perfectly deep-fried.

Food is amazing! Wings are big and the sauces taste great (highly recommend the hot & spicy sauce). Tacos are real good, meat is juicy and perfectly cooked. The best coleslaw!Owner and staff are quiet, friendly, and attentive. Overall, nice little out of the way spot with underrated food!

Dinner was great!! The chips were fresh and salty, the queso stayed smooth as it cooled. We had the margarita flights - the banana was actually the unexpected favorite, the chicken street tacos and street corn hit the spot and who doesn’t like fried cheesecake!!

Food was excellent! We had the loaded fries and wet (covered in queso) chicken burritos. The raspberry margarita was also delicious. They said the place just changed ownership so I would recommend giving it another try! Overall great

We went in for dinner two hours before they closed. We weren’t greeted or told where to sit so we just decided to sit at the bar. After 5 minutes, we were given menus that are impossible to read. We ordered a flight of margaritas and chips&salsa. The flight came quickly, but after 30 minutes we didn’t get our chips and salsa, were not given the opportunity to put in an order, and our wait was not acknowledged by the waitress. We got our bill and left. In over 35 minutes we did not see a single table get served food.

Pub-like atmosphere with great friendly service. It was our first time visiting, and our waitress was fabulous at making us feel right at home. My spouse loved their signature fish tacos, and I enjoyed their chicken quesadilla. Both were exceptional. On a side note, the traditional beans and rice were not a part of the menu, but their queso dip was excellent. One star was deducted due to items being out of stock, but with current supply struggles that will not prevent me from going back. Overall, great local dining.

Limited menu, no drinks menu, only 2 beers on tap, food was very plain no flavor, they serve the queso in a styrofoam cup, not inviting atmosphere, playing 90’s music on YouTube and the NFL draft on the other screen (very loud). A downgrade from 12 West…first time and last.

Tuesday evening we were excited to try out the new spot since 12 West shut down. My friend and I were particularly going to try the margarita flight that we saw advertised on Facebook. It was around 530 when we walked in with another family trailing us. No one was there. The tvs were off, the lights were really low. I said “are you guys open yet?” The man behind the bar said “Yes, we’re just usually really slow between 2-5.” The atmosphere was really off, things were disorderly and there was loud rap playing from the back. As we got our menus, my girlfriend picked her hands up, disgusted, by how dirty the bar was. We observed the family who sat down at a table also run her hand across it and snarled at it being dirty when she pulled out a baby wipe and started to wipe down the table. At that point we just got up and left. For having so much downtime, it was not an inviting welcome & a number one turn off is cleanliness. Hope this place improves. Super disappointed.

Went for lunch on a Friday. Restaurant only half full. Waited an hour for food. Had to get it to go. Shrimp quesadilla was average. Waitress couldn't take cash bc the owner didn't fill the till. Unfortunate. Slow ticket times and overpriced average food. First and last visit.

Delaware restaurants always have growing pains at first, so I believe there is hope for this place. The chips and salsa were excellent. The entrees were a disappointment. The fish taco was more like a slaw taco drenched in sauce with a tiny piece of fish, the shrimp taco was good but had too much going on, the brisket taco was very greasy and lacking in flavor. I will say that the brisket had perfect texture, just needs a flavor adjustment. My suggestion is to have regular sized tacos and focus on making them great, instead of extra large tacos that are mediocre at best. I write this review to give the restaurant honest feedback and hope that they apply it, not to scare others away from trying it.

We just ate dinner here tonight and WOW. My husband and I saw on their Facebook Page that Margarita flights were coming soon but when asked if we could have them tonight our bartender Sarah had no problem making it for us. Even though she was the only person on the floor tonight both server and bartender; a smile never left her face the entire time. I had the chicken salad and my husband had the 30A Fish Taco. My salad was amazing and SO big which filled me up and I took the rest home for a midnight snack. My husband will NOT stop talking about the 30A Fish Taco which lead me to leave a review. We will be repeat customers so I can get my husband to stop talking about the tacos ?. Thank you Sarah for the amazing service and thank you Queso Fuego for the delicious food!

Went here for the first time tonight and how amazing! Food was great and staff was even more amazing! Very friendly and great recommendations, can’t wait to go back and try the poke tacos! So glad to have them in our little town! Can’t wait for next door to open!

The only reason I gave this one star is because I couldn't give it no stars.I have never, ever been to a restaurant that even comes close to how bad this place is. It is bizarrely bad, absurdly bad! These people have no right to serve food. To call the taco's they gave me slop...would be a compliment!I don't think whomever was cooking, knows how to cook! They served me two taco's in a piece of paper, lining a plastic burger basket. The brisket taco meat was burnt, yet somehow tasted of dirty grill and grease. They put it in the same basket and on top of a fish taco that was mostly iceberg lettus with some sort of flavorless, watery sauce. Both were not only uneatable but were so drench in grease that you couldn't pick them up out of the basket. I mean, they wouldn't come out they were so limp. I managed to get one a couple inches away form the paper lining and the shell just fell apart, into the basket. I think, I can't be sure, but the shell may have been raw, uncooked.I then tried cutting into the melded disaster with the butter knife I was given, but since it wasn't served on a plate, but in a plastic basket, the knife kept pushing through the webbing of the basket. When the server, who I think was the owner, ask how everything was, I said "What is this? This is not a taco." She said" What do you mean."I said"Look at it! I can't even take it from the basket!"I've gone on too long with this but I'll end by saying that I without exaggeration not serve that food to a dog. Not only that...I don't think a dog would eat it!Shame on you people!

Excellent customer service and ample toppings on each taco. I thought the prices were fair. Chips and salsa are complimentary, which is not always the case at Tex-Max restaurants. I’m not typically a seafood eater unless I’m in a coastal city, but the Mahi-Mahi was great!

So glad this place opened! I had one of the best tacos ever the 30A Fish Taco! The Mahi Mahi was cooked to perfection along with the 30A sauce which I believe is a roasted pepper garlic sauce was out of this world. Sarah was behind the bar and made me one of her speciality drinks, a chocolate cake martini and woah she wasn't kidding! It tasted just like chocolate cake. She was great and the owner you can tell really cares as he frequently stepped from the kitchen to the front to ask everyone how their food was. I'll definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.
