I am so glad I have friends that can usher me around at times. When I roll into Delaware I have a list of restaurants I want to try. And to be honest Shortys had never made it onto my list. I had a lunch meeting scheduled and I had thrown out a suggestion that had been vehemently shot down - and then Shortys was offered up. It was one I hadn’t thought of, and I said why not? I am so happy that I discovered this gem. Two of us at the table were indecisive about which sub to order so we decided to each get one and share half of each. I am a food sharer, and this worked out perfectly. I had leaned toward the Italian sub, but I got the also have the Cuban. It is a sub, so it isn’t pressed ,but every other part of that sandwich was PERFECT! And since I mentioned sharing, I will note that the friend who suggested this place ordered the Reuben pizza. It was delicious and she knew to order extra house-made thousand island dressing. A perfect complement. Couldn’t have been happier with my lunch!
Parking: The lot was packed for lunch. I pulled off the side and wasn’t in a marked spot.

8/20/24 about 1600 hrs. Food is super great. One of your servers who wares a bun in her hair is a step above a slug.i watched how she didn't work. All she did was feed her face she was supposedly waiting on two ladies that was poor .maybe they didn't mind how the service was. I would have ask a manager to get me another server .if she is paid by tips only she will starve. If she is paid by the hr.she owes u a big refund.i hate to post this but people need to get another server when they get at your great place.what s shame. A lot of other places hire slugs also. Or fire the person who would hire them thank for listing.also she coughed a lot and never covered her mouth ever never washed her hands what so ever .germs are spread in the air.think about that . COVID is ramping up again. Also the woman working the bar was drinking beer.
