Food is really good though menu is light on protein. They need to do something about the amount of bugs on the patio (bees, stink bugs, flies). Vibe would have been nicer inside. Weird that happy hour is only available at the bar.

Eight of us went there for lunch and ordered just about the whole lunch menu to create a tasting menu that we could all share. None of us had been to Speck before and we all loved the food, service, and space and all want to go back with our significant others for dinner. We came in from the outskirts of town and was concerned about finding parking but street parking near the restaurant was actually relatively easy. Highly recommend Speck.

The food was good. We got short rib and a sausage pasta dish. Portions were on the larger side. Tiramisu was cute. It was served in a mug and also tasted good.
The atmosphere was busy and dark. I feel the menus and staff aprons being pink and orange flowers clashed with the darkness of the ambiance.
Our server specifically was not happy to be working if I had to guess. She wasn’t outwardly friendly or willing to give us input or advice on which dishes are popular or especially worth choosing for our first time in. We asked which appetizer we should choose because none of them stood out more than the others and she was unwilling to help us, so we just didn’t get one at all.
I feel like unfortunately a large reason I’m not going to be recommending Speck to clients, friends, and family is because of the server- but when spending more on a nice evening out with another couple, we have plenty of other options around the city.
Perhaps she was just having a rough day, we still took care of her- hopefully the service skills improve soon for others’ sake.

Best dining experience I've had in a very long time! Truly exceptional service and everything we ate was even better than we imagined. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and they mad us feel excited for each course. We didn't have a reservation but even though the restaurant was quite crowded our party of 2 was able to get a spot at the chef's counter which was a great experience! We ordered the burrata (absolutely mandatory since the speck that they named the restaurant after is in this dish), the gem salad, sausage ragu, and the cacio e pepe. IT WAS ALL AMAZING. For dessert we ordered the mille feuille and Dylan's brioche which was more than we could eat but we persevered. BOTH WERE AMAZING. Special thanks to our server Kaitlyn R who was incredibly sweet and funny all night long and met every question and request with a smile. Can't wait to go back.

My girlfriend and I sat at the chef’s counter and had such a wonderful experience! The food and service was beyond amazing. It was evident that the executive chef ensured that every plate was exactly how he would like it presented to the guest. The server also did a great job answering our questions about the menu. We definitely recommend and look forward to returning!

One of the best and most accommodating service and treatment I’ve received at a restaurant. Food was phenomenal too.
The focaccia is a must. I also had the spaghetti with crab and it was perfection. I also recommend the tiramisu.
The food and decor is lovely but my biggest issue was the constant rush we were under for being a nicer restaurant and higher prices. The table limit didn’t bother me but having dishes removed when I was still eating, having the entire table cleared when we were still drinking our bottle of wine and having to order everything at once (server pushed us to order 10 minutes after sitting down) added up to a negative experience. I have a newborn and know how to eat fast….If I’m going to spend $200 on dinner, I don’t want to feel like a burden to turn over the table. Especially when we left with over 30 minutes to spare on our table limit.

The cesear salad was amazing. The fish spread appetizer was immensely overpowered by the bacon, couldn’t taste the fish. Very salty dish. The man at the table loved it, he doesn’t go to places like this.
The lemon pasta dish was not well balanced by any cream, again over powered by sheer lemon dominance. Dish was sprinkled with pomegranate and mint, very small portion and not good. Looked thrown together to try to make it fancy.
The time limit on the reservation was kind of a bummer. Felt over it shadowed the night a bit.
