I ordered takeout online yesterday for the first time and I have definitely become a long term customer! Everything was great, from the ease of ordering, to the friendliness of the staff, to the quality of the food.I have been trying several different pizza restaurants around the Columbus area since moving here and this is by far my favorite place.The pizza is phenomenal. I love the sauce, flavorful, but not acidic, and not too sweet. The cheese tastes like it is higher quality, and the pepperoni was amazing. I also absolutely loved the thin crust! It has a nice crunch, but is also slightly chewy. It's exactly how I want my pizza to be.Their salad was also very good. Tons of toppings and the house made ranch dressing is very good! It's so much better than prepackaged vinegary ranch that a lot of places use.Overall, I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

First time getting this pizza staff was nice pizza was good I did pay $2.50 to add chicken I feel there could have been alittle more also the pizza seemed dry needed more pizza sauce for me but the pizza did have a good flavor and was good I would get it again

The Black Dog (specialty pizza) was PHENOMENAL 5/5 probably top 5 pies in all of Columbus.That leads me to the pep and spicy columbus style I ordered..... felt dry, had hardly any sauce at all. I was really really disappointed in this cause it was the one I was most excited for. 2.5/5Overall 4/5 experience I'll def ask for a side of sauce with my next attempt at columbus style.

Moved to Ohio recently, i've had some good pizza in other places (Chicago, New Haven, etc...) but i haven't found a good place here that i liked. Black Dog was the 5th or 6th place i've tried here in Columbus and i enjoyed it the most out of all the others in town. Will be coming back for more! I had the new york style pepperonia and garlic knots.

We ordered for the first time tonight and we were not disappointed. We got the Barghest. We ordered NY style and the crust was perfectly balanced with the amount of toppings (which was a lot of meat)! We also tried the garlic cheese sticks and the Stromboli. The garlic cheese sticks were delicious. They were on a thin crust was the perfect amount of cheese and garlic sauce. (Definitely try getting a side of their garlic sauce too for dipping everything!) The Stromboli had so much cheese and the crust was cooked well. We will definitely be back!

First time customer - we'll be back. Ordered the NY Style - 16" pizza. With 3 toppings and a tip, came out to be around $25 which I feel is pretty much the going rate. Overall before digging in, the pizza looks great (see photo) which is hugely appetizing. The crust was thin as expected and the pizza wasn't overly done so you def could fold the pieces. We really enjoyed it overall and will be back to try to Columbus style pizza.Pizza was ready right on time and the person at the counter was pleasant.Parking: Huge lot, easy to grab a space.

First time having Black Dog Pizzeria, and I gotta say I'm impressed!!We made an online order for 2 pizzas.14-inch columbus style pizza with caramelized onions, basil and jalapeños with spicy sauce.16 inch new York style with classic red sauce, black olive, and mushroom.Those 2 pizzas came up to $43The columbus style was a little thicker than the typical columbus style but very good. The cheese they use taste very fresh ad well as the basil. The jalapeños actually had a kick and didn't taste like straight vinegar. The carmelized onions I barely tasted because they were light on those, but what I did taste was great. Spicy red sauce was very good but the pizza was very light on the sauce.The new York style dough was amazing! The olives and cheese were very good too. But we didn't get many mushrooms on the pizza just like the caramelized onions on the other pizza. This pizza could have used more sauce also.Overall we loved it and will go back but will be asking for extra sauce and hoping we will get more of the delicious toppings we paid for.

Like, I eat SO much pizza, I have to lie to my physician about it (bro knows the truth tho, cause when he test my blood he be like “yo this is marinara, you are sickkkk” but that’s neither here nor there)… I eat PIZZA.I discovered Black Dog Pizza last year, and OMG it made my taste buds feel like they were kids again hangin out at DZ Discovery Zone (on Brice Rd, real ones know what I’m talking about). Shortly after my relationship started with Black Dog, Ryu apparently decided to visit and do a Hadoken in the kitchen… which resulted in a temporary shut down of operations (I was always partial to Mortal Kombat anyway, thanks Ryu!).But NOW they have reopened. It’s like Black Dog II: The Barkquel with the ORIGINAL CAST from the first movie SO YOU KNOW ITS GONNA BE A BANGER.And let me tell you, it’s better than the original. My tastebuds squealed when I popped a slice of that Black Dog pizza into my mouth. The old world pepperonis, SO crunchy. SO delicious. The crust?! OMG crispy and amazing. The SAUCE?! ITS PART of my blood stream. And the Benji… just like our hero pup from Disney, this pizza could dodge a cougar, run across fallen trees, and swim across rivers… ITS brave. It’s brilliant. I WANT MORE.I see these reviews giving 1 star. And it’s wild. I seriously don’t know how it’s possible. The owners are two of the raddest pizza owners in Columbus. If somethin is amiss with your pie, they will TOTALLY make it right, I have no doubt about it.If you enjoy movies like Homeward Bound, CUJO, Face/Off, Con Air, The Rock, Strays, and Milo and Otis… you will freakin LOVE Black Dog Pizza!!!!!YO GET THEIR PUPPERONI CUP TOO ???*i added banana peppers to my Black Dog pizza so please don’t let that scare you*And if you like movies like Gigli, Justin and Kelly, Grown Ups 2, or Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas, consider cooking some unflavored rice and chicken for dinner instead.
