“Deborah Li is not only an artist but an actual wizard, and Kuro Neko Cake Studio is her tower of magic. My wife and I were lucky enough to commission a cake from Kuro Neko for our wedding, and it turned out that one of the best parts of the whole reception was telling people that, yes, it really is cake! (I'm still not sure that my wife's grandma believes us.) When we asked for a book cake, we knew it would be beautiful, but upon seeing it the morning of, we were absolutely blown away. The colors, the sculpting, and how it all fit together as a piece of art left us without words. And, somehow, it tasted as good as it looked. As for the process, Deborah was wonderful to work with: attentive, keen to get the personal details just right, and fantastically friendly and supportive.
