Had mango chicken with spicy rice and hot and cold veggies of my choice. It was amazing! Portion was big enough I had leftovers. Even the leftovers were great! Wish we lived closer so I could get this more often.
I’m here for work and wandered in to grab a quick dinner, not having looked at reviews, not knowing what to expect. My goodness this food is good! This is not a garden variety food court meal - the mango chicken, Somali rice, and lentils/spinach were perfect. It’s spicy but not too spicy, sweet but not too sweet… I can’t say enough good things about this pleasant surprise.
The upside is the restaurant is halal and you get a decent quantity. What really lacked however was flavor. Paid about 18 dollars for a bowl and a drink and I really do wish it was appropriately rated when it came to the taste but the beef and chicken were both okay. I wouldn’t call them bad but I do wish they were more flavor. The beef was also a bit more overcooked than usual. Cool concept though and if they were to fix that, I would visit again. Also the market is interesting....
