“Oh I love these posh restaurants, it’s so rare when the elite get to dine with the criminal element. For example County Treasurer Bryan Blakeman is a regular at events, with his criminally convicted cleaning lady, I mean fiancé. She was hired originally as the cleaning lady but then Blakeman abandoned his family for, Betsy “home wrecker” Theodore, who started sleeping with the GOP vice Chair around the same time the new GOP Princess was fighting her criminal charges and pursuing her frivolous lawsuit against law enforcement. Both of which failed miserably. But Bryan B-Diddy Blakeman is the tax collector, and Ms. Theodore does owe over $20,000 dollars in sales tax she collected and never paid into the county, so he’s taking her to task, on her back, which is in my opinion a punishment all its own. But these are owner Dave Johnson’s closest friends so we will not discuss any of that, but the foods wonderful”

“Such a cute place with a really fun atmosphere! Sandy Spring Brewery is definitely a gem in Minerva. After enjoying some amazing food and tasty beer, I couldn’t resist heading into their awesome pinball room—so cool! I even had to get a game of Flintstones pinball in.

The burger I ordered was out of this world—the combo of flavors was spot on. The bacon jam and waffle were the perfect pair, making it one of the most unique and delicious burgers I’ve ever had. Our bartender was so helpful and amazing, which made the whole experience even better.

Between the food, drinks, and vibe, this is the kind of place you can’t wait to come back to.”

“I was on a motorcycle run they call it a poker run, it was a benefit to raise money for a local guy who needed a medical procedure done and they REALLY REALLY pulled out all the stops for this guy! They were MAGNIFICENT! I couldn't brag enough about J&H's we always called it back in the day. The food was AMAZING the atmosphere, the people, the drinks, INSIDE AND OUT! U can play pool here. At the very end they even had some VERY NICE items they raffled off. Whoever put that day together...God bless ya did real good darlin. The best thing I noticed was i only knew one person but it was just how AMAZING the atmosphere was that day! Everyone was just so amazing I remember how happy i was and how kind and helpful everybody was or maybe I should call that one guy again I mighta messed up! lol! The item I won in the raffle was given to someone by mistake cuz I wasn't in there & I remember how everyone really went out of their way to find my item...really embarrassed a truly sweet guy that had no clue he had my item but it's how honest and true everyone was that inspired such a response from me when I was asked about here...HIGHLY SUGGEST TOP NOTCH GOOD FEEL FRIENDLY Good hometown family feel BAR.. 1 BILLION PERCENT suggest truly worth your time! “This is my favorite hometown place to eat! The salads are all amazing! The Chicken Tender Lovin Grinder is mine and my sister's absolute favorite! The potato skins with the Russian dressing and a bit of sour cream are the bomb!! I could go on and on! I've eaten at Grinders since they were in the house uptown. Forever my favorite!

With an amazing view of the town square they did a fabulous job on the seating area out back on a lovely dayʻ and the have games you can inquire about for free behind the bar and an extra pool table out front & the bartenders here dont mess around they make quick order of get'n your drinks out to you!”

“I have to say, the staff, while maybe not being the most oriented to a more formal customer service, are very easy to connect with and help make sandwich dreams come true. Seriously. I had an amazing sandwich here. I GASPED when I saw they put together the perfect sandwich, exactly what I had been craving for days. I still am thinking about it. I have heard that they do sometimes seem to try to close early, it seems this is a theme for a number of Minerva "fast food" spots. The store has been clean and the food has been good when I have dropped in. I am greatly looking forwards to my next visit”
