Chagrin Tavern Reviews
We came last night to see the band. City Lite Band was great. Great location on the river. We had the tavern burger and fries. Very tasty. The potato skins were burnt. I will skip those next time. Kelly was our server. She was very personable and efficient. We will be back.
HIDDEN GEM!!!!
I grew up in Eastlake and heard about this place from time to time. Today, I decided to give it a try. All I can say is, I’ve been missing out! The atmosphere is AWESOME! We sat right in the river and the vibes are totally laid back and relaxed. The service was very good. The food stole the show! I highly recommend the Chicken Caesar wrap with adding the hickory bacon.
They have a stage for bands to play at night. I’m definitely going to be...read full review
The atmosphere and view is great! Right on the river with boats cruising by. The food was a huge disappointment. The lobster bisque was strangely sweet and not edible in my opinion. French dip had no flavor. Berry cobbler dessert was pretty but also very bland. Also very expensive meal, over 50$ for one person. I would go again for drinks because the outside bar is really cute but that’s about it.

Located in a scenic spot with a great view of the river, the Chagrin Tavern offers a lively atmosphere with live music and a welcoming staff. The fun bar and restaurant features great local bands all year round, and during the summer, the stage opens up to a delightful riverfront setting. The restaurant provides a variety of menu items, including options like margarita pizza with grilled chicken, calamari, patty melt, and walleye sandwich. Many customers have praised the friendly service, noting that the staff, especially a young server in training, is attentive and helpful, although some have experienced moments of rudeness from other staff members. The atmosphere is wonderful, with indoor and outdoor seating that offers great views of the harbor. Visitors love sitting on the covered patio, enjoying the scenery while dining. The food has been described as good and portioned well, with some finding it slightly overpriced but still enjoyable. Special mentions include a fantastic braised short rib over cheesy grits, which many have found to be phenomenal. Recent improvements under new ownership have led to outstanding service, delicious meals, and a clean, inviting environment. The live music remains a highlight, and guests are excited for future expansions and updates to the stage area. Overall, the Chagrin Tavern continues to provide a memorable dining experience with great food, music, and views.
