I was skeptical going into this restaurant. I was in the semi with my husband and we were looking for something other than fast food. What a beautiful surprise! I am not a bbq/smokehouse fan but OMG... This place is amazing. I ordered the Calli's chicken samich with honey BBQ and coleslaw. My husband got the brisket and pulled pork with Alabama white sauce.Everything was delicious and as my husband said: "the sauce is lip smacking good!" The restaurant is quaint and clean. The women's bathroom is super cute and well decorated. This is a must stop if you are ever in the area, or just want to try great food. It's worth the drive. I am hoping we get another load around the area, so I can hop in the truck with him to eat here again.

We stopped at Cali's by chance, while on a road trip. This is some of the best BBQ that I have ever eaten and I have eaten BBQ across the USA. The ribs were incredibly tender, meaty, with a crisp bark. The rub was outstanding and the service great. I just wish we were coming back this way!! Keep the smoke rolling!!

Unfortunate experience. Establishment didn’t have brisket or ribs. Pulled pork was over cooked and barely warm when served. Pulled chicken was fine. Sides were better than the meat. 35 dollars for a decidedly lack luster meal. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

First timer here. Cool place just down the street from the Pilot/FJ I was staying at for our 34 hour reset. Food came out hot. My husband ordered a bomber burrito and I had a parfait with pulled pork. The burrito was a good size. I think you get an adequate portion of food for the price. Husband wished the filling of the burrito was mixed together. Instead, the sauce and onions on one side, Mac and cheese in the middle, and the meat on the other. You have to take two bites of opposite sides to get the full experience. The parfait was perfect. The best mash potatoes I’ve had in a LONG time. The pulled pork was cooked well, macaroni was cooked well. I wished there was a little more cornbread than just the dry crumbles. They just fall off your fork and I missed out on part of the product. I would definitely eat there again. My only beef is with the salsa lady in the corner. She offered a sample to my husband when I was in the bathroom. There were two other female customers that came in while we ate our meal and she didn’t offer a sample to those women either. My constructive criticism would be work on your girl talk. I realize that it’s a truck stop and mostly men come through the area. And sure, you can probably pressure them to buy your product with a little sweet talk but girl, You missed out on selling your product to me. As a woman in the trucking industry I think it would be a great opportunity to check on a fellow woman who doesn’t have the chance to talk to many ladies. If you would’ve just checked in on me, asked me how my day was, I would’ve been 1000x more likely to buy your product than any man that walked in that day. A little warmth goes a long way.

Excellent food, the burrito was AMAZING. Tons of food for a reasonable price- everyone was really nice and the Alabama White Sauce was exactly what I was looking for, vinegary and delicious. The slaw and cornbread were also great! I definitely had leftovers
