A resturant with a great staff and service. Ordered the walleye and it didn't disappoint! Mouthwatering-seasoning and breading were perfect-ate the whole thing. Sat in the atrium enjoyed the view. Going back next time I'm in town.

Jill and Heather provided great service. The salmon burgers were quite tasty, and the fries were perfect with just the right amount of seasoning. The large serving provided a nice take-home for later!

The best place to go for excellent food and cozy quiet atmosphere. You can carry on a conversation.

We went twice for the yellow Lake Erie perch. My husband said it was fantastic both times, and the fries and cole slaw were delicious. I had a Rueben one time, excellent, and a chicken BLT salad the next time. We have been often, and have never had any bad meals or service.

We chose the restaurant because of their Lenten menu. My husband and I can't finish an appetizer and 2 meals so we often spit one entree if we want an appetizer. We chose the lobster tots, which were delicious once we finished picking off the bacon. (It's Friday during Lent, folks.) Huge portion. I wish I could say the same for our perch sandwich. We cut it in half and the fish fillet was so small one half had a tiny sliver and the other half didn't come near covering the small burger bun. Everything else was fine. We will be back and choose different options.

Wish I knew they were going to a special menu only for Valentine's Day. Food was average on that special menu, not worth the price. Service was great!

The food was delicious, and the service was speedy and spot on. Waitress was amazing. Drinks were delicious and came quick as did food. Was a bigger table in the middle that was louder, only cause kids. All in all was great. I will say watch scheduling with this app. Check hours in the restaurant. I scheduled a reservation for Sunday prior, and the restaurant wasn't even open. Had to change my reservation to a week later. Black River Tavern gave me a free appetizer for the inconvenience. All in all, great experience. For anyone who hasn't been there, it is down below. From parking lot walk around to the right. We made the mistake of going upstairs. It isn't there lol.

It's OK, but we expected more. We spent about $100 (just on food and non-alcoholic beverages). That's somewhat pricey if the food is not that good. I was disappointed in my food - risotto was clumpy/dry and not creamy. My fish was way overdone. Sure, that could be a one-off, but don't bring it to the table if it's overcooked. Make another. My spouse had another meal which looked very good aesthetically -- there was no indication that THAT dish was overcooked. We were disappointed that there was no bread offered. Maybe that's a thing with Black River Tavern; however, for the prices we paid, bread/butter should be a "thing," as should a salad with the meal. We may try again at another time. Was REALLY hoping this could be a new/cool place to dine. The jury is still out...for now.

Excellent food, excellent and friendly service with staff going out of their way to help disabled customer, and very comfortable rooms with beautiful wood tables.

I got lobster bisque which tasted worse than soup from can, brought to me barely warm, very thick and it's all covered in oil, don't waste your money.
My husband got tuna which was ok and I got chicken breast with mashed potato. Chicken was hot on the outside but barely warm inside, mashed potatoes from the package. $65 +12 tip completely wasted - we won't be back.

We stopped here on our way through to visit our friend and catch up. Not only was the food amazing, but Heather made the experience so fun and enjoyable. We all unanimously agreed we will be back at some point to eat here again. My only recommendation is that a sign be posted directing guests to the restaurant. It is on a golf course and we were confused, since we had never been here before. We had to call the restaurant to get directions to the front door of the restaurant. It is to the right and around the corner of the main building with the red door when you pull in.

The seasonal cocktails were immaculate and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the calamari, as it is strips and not rings, as well as the strip steak with truffle frites and au jus sauce. My friend had the Bruschetta burger and my spouse had the Mac and cheese. We will definitely be back!
