The people were nice, but that was the WORST vegan food I've ever had, and I've been vegan for over 10 years. I usually love soul food! It also took a very long time to get the food- nearly an hour. I've never spit food out in my life. I do not know what the meat is made of, but the philly sandwhich tasted rancid, like I feel bad for the racoon that might eat that sandwich, yikes. The guy who served me was very kind though, I wish the food matched the hospitality.

OMG this is vegan comfort food done EXCELLENT!!!! I would share a picture but I devoured my Philly chicken sandwich and chili mac so quickly. Best vegan mac n cheese I've ever had and I've tried so many. The pretzel bun and sauce on my chicken sandwich was perfection. The owners are a really nice family ( you can tell they care about the food and customers) and this is hands down the best food truck you'll find!!! Any time I go to Cleveland this place is first on my list to go to.

If you want to try vegan food, this is place. If you only eat vegan food, this is the place. Hands down, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had-vegan or otherwise.

YES YES YES YEEEEEEEEES!!!!
Had this catered at multiple events; birthdays, & even thanksgiving.
TIP: If you buy the Lemonade (which you better) you can dilute it with water & get over a gallon’s worth with a fair amount of flavor still! Make it really last 💚

I’ve had dozens of vegan Mac and cheese over the years, and this is hands-down the best. The texture, the taste, how flavorful the sauce is; damn, I might go get more right now. Also had the Philly cheesesteak and it was awesome. Can’t wait to try more!

I don't like the hole in the wall experience I don't like people who don't appreciate vegan food and cooking it as if it's fast food which is not I've had 2 bad experience with bad dark old tasting grease fort fries also too much seasoning on fries kale lemonade is too sweet I don't think they're even toasting this stuff before they're serving it this is exactly why I cannot support black businesses it's always something people are very friendly I can't admit that I just wish the food match the personality nothing like the festivals they attend they throw it on at the festivals when you go to the restaurant it's completely different experience

We were starving after a few hours of walking around at the nearby Botanical Garden, so we needed some nourishment! I had heard about a vegan soul food place in the area, so that’s where we headed. An excellent idea because Squash the Beef is a fantastic place.
We dined in, but I saw on the website that they have a pretty cool truck that you can book for catered food right at your event. That sounds pretty awesome to me - fun and delicious plant-based food made on the spot for your guests!
Back to my experience — I had a delicious Philly Cheesesteak sandwich that was totally great. The plant-based slices of steak were smothered with cheese and sautéed onions and peppers and mushrooms and tucked inside a toasted sub, with a side of fries. Amazingly melty and gooey and oh so tasty! Definitely polished the whole thing off. Just thinking about it makes me hungry!
I will definitely return the next time I am on that side of town! I recommend that you try it if you are in the neighborhood because it will blow your mind. All your preconceived ideas about vegan food will go out the window and you will find yourself loving every morsel.

Phenomenal. Made the journey from the Westside to come here specifically, and it was so worth it.

We love Black owned vegan spot! this place had the best fries I ever had. The Mac & jack brought me back to my childhood plus the coleslaw on the of the fries with their signature sauce ! It’s a hit.

The best food i’ve eaten in a long time — and the staff was very friendly! My only regret is that i’m visiting from another state and won’t be able to come back.
