I love City Barbecue! The half chicken with sweet city sauce is not to be missed. The mac and cheese, fries, bbq beans and green beans are go-to sides. Even the Texas toast is excellent. Service is first rate and the place is always clean. I have had them cater events twice and the food was a hit. I’ll be back!

Had to edit this review. Food has declined. Meat is dry and they no longer have those great homemade fries. Food is also a little more expensive than fast food, and I don't recommend the ribs. Arby's has a new pulled pork sandwich that is far better. To die for banana pudding though. Pretty fast. No waiters. Staff is nice.
Myself and some colleagues picked up lunch today and the majority of the food was satisfactory. We ordered 3 Texas style sausage sandwiches but didn't get enough coleslaw for 3 sandwiches. Didn't get the sauces that were requested. But the worst thing was the chicken wings. They were so small and were like chicken jerky, way way overcooked they were not edible.

Came in very close to closing time asked a lot of questions and ordered a lot of food. Cashier lady was polite and patient and suggested a real good sandwich. Young man helped my husband carry out all our food when our order was ready, which was unexpected and very pleasant curtesy. Variety of sauces for all taste buds, and my kids loved the Mac and cheese. Overall good bbq and great experience.

Order wings, ribs, brisket, green beans, hush puppies and banana pudding. All the meat was dry, severely over cooked, and bland. Green beans were the best thing I received. Very good highly recommend that side. Hush puppies were ok. Not bad but I've had better. Banana need cookies. Service was fast.
