Seen this place on the News so I had to try it out. So we drove 45 minutes to the flag city to try it out. The Service was great and the food was good.

Had a large group for lunch. We ordered appetizers, sandwiches, shrimp platter and kids meals. Appetizers were typical, nothing spectacular. French dip sandwich was very good. Shrimp platter was average. Smoked wings were excellent. Kids mini corn dogs average but the mac-n-cheese was cold (just a mictowave prepared dish). Server was friendly, quick to meet needs and helpful. Overall, an average diner but their personally prepared items, like the smoked meats, are great.

Fern cafe has great food, good service, the restaurant is nice but the guest made me feel out of place. This doesn’t seem to be a town that sees African Americans often. I felt out of place the first time my husband and I went 2 weeks ago. The waitress was sooooo sweet and friendly! However, the other customers stared like I had a unicorn horn on my forehead. The second week I went I didn’t get the same warm Feeling from the waitress. She seemed nice but forced to take good care of my co-worker and I. Although she was nice and smiled a lot, the other guests made me feel so uncomfortable. I’m not saying this town doesn’t like African Americans, I’m saying some people make it obvious that want to know why you’re in their town? Relax, I’m Only here for a few more weeks .

Asked if the patio was open. So I was there for brunch in the nice weather. Broughy my breakfast burrito which was good. No one checked on me. Had to go in to pay my bill. That's why I have a 1 star for service. I'll still go back because it's been better with past experiences...

Went last week during a visit to Findlay. The bartenders, for some reason, didn't have sports on the TVs ... Once that was fixed I got a meatloaf sandwich with barbeque sauce and onion rings (?) ... Fantastic... Mygrandpa took me there 50 years ago ... Sat
at the bar with him.

Can't believe the bartender wouldn't serve us a drink if we were not going to sit at the bar.

We had a 45-minute drive to try this restaurant. Glad I took the drive as this place was great. Our server was super friendly and very attentive. The nachos were great but the Chipotle sauce had a kick,
according to the wife. The wings were phenomenal. The chili was tasty and hardy. My only complaint is the meatloaf sandwich could have been hotter temperature-wise. They had a very vast menu, lots to choose from .

I ordered a Southwest Barbeque Smoked Chicken Salad and got baked chicken in it. No smoke flavor at all! Very disappointed.

Best meatloaf sandwich I've ever had! Clean establishment with a friendly staff. I've only gone during lunch on business, but the food is excellent.

I played a 3 hour solo acoustic set here for the first time. My experience was great!! The staff was awesome and friendly. The crowd sang along with me and danced! Great Food!! Great Drinks!! They went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome. I'm looking forward to playing here again.

We normally love going to The Fern, we hadn’t been in a little while and decided to go for drinks/dinner.
We got a table near the bar and waited approx 15 mins and had no one come to see us. My boyfriend went to the bar and was ignored there as well and rudely told by the bartender that he was standing where her friends are sitting and they would be back (she held open seats at the bar for over 30 mins for people who weren’t even there).
He told her he just wanted to order some drinks and get a menu and her reply was “well if you go back to your table someone will do that”.
Finally got a server, got some drinks and waters. Water was warm with no ice in it. Ordered food and they got my meal wrong twice (after the second time they said they were mixing the southwest rice with the Greek gyro bowl from now on, which makes absolutely no sense to mix those ingredients).
Could also see the bartender and waitress talking about us from across the bar as they whispered and pointed in our direction.
At this point we paid our bill and left without eating. The gyro bowl was comped.
I tried posting a review on the Findlay Neighbors Helping Neighbors Facebook page and it was taken down twice lol.
