The Fried Rice was undercooked and our sweet an sour chicken tasted like it was just reheated, terrible customer service, we called they said they wouldn't remake our food and they would just refund us but we stated we didn't expect a refund we just simply wanted our food made right, They said we can refund you an to just not comeback. I'd never eat here again also they only put like 5 pieces of chicken in our order and they poured the sweet n sour sauce over the chicken but usually the sauce stays separately so you can pour it yourself?. Also they put veggies and pineapple in our sweet n sour chicken which I've never seen that before usually its just chicken and the sweet n sour is on the side. They didn't even give us the crunchy chips for our soup either?. The Chicken was not fresh at all it was stale and hard to swallow as well as the under cooked rice, we both threw it up and would never consider this place again not to mention this is our 2nd time having this issue so we won't comeback we thought maybe a 2nd time around it would be different nope.

Hunan Gardens is located in a strip mall located by Gabes in Findlay, OH. I guess they have been there for over 20 years. The inside has plenty of table and booths to sit at. The decore done in a maroon and mint green walls. Very beautiful. We started with eggrolls of course. They were hot and crispy crunchy just the way we like it. Tim ordered the sweet and sour chicken and added a little hot mustard to give it a bit of a kick. The chicken was breaded and fried nicely. Very tender and delicious. The Kung Pao Chicken has peanuts, celery, carrots and water chestnuts and a brown gravy with some heat. I asked for extra hot and it wasnt, but neverless it was good. We both got fried rice. It too was good. The service was excellent, we just missed the lunch crowd and the lunch specials which seemed to be a good deal. The booths, although comfortable do not offer support to prevent being launched into your food by the guy sitting on the booth behind you, pushing and shoving the back of his seat to get in. I dont know why people are not considerate of others when getting in or extracting themselves out. He learned the error of his ways.
Our second visit to our new favorite places to eat list, because, priorities. Service was excellent, again, thanks to Jude, the smiling ninja of attentiveness. We love him waiting on us, he's like our new BFF. We had a deep, meaningful discussion about what to put in my curry, aka, how much heat can I handle? I wanted it hot-spicy, because, sweat is fat crying, and ended up mixing some chili oil in with the rice, perfection. The womens restroom was clean, because, sanity, and the handicap stall was accommodating for wheel chairs and walkers, a total must-have for some in our crew. Tim got the sweet and sour chicken, again, because, why mess with perfection, and, of course, it's not a meal without an eggroll, duh.

I called after a pickup order was prepared incorrectly and they put the management on the phone. I have ordered from this place numerous times via doordash and when leaving special instructions that say Please put sauce on side I was told I did not need to do that in the future bec they never put the sauce on the chicken. My order was Sweet n Sour chicken meal with egg drop soup side of green onion for soup. I picked up my meal and the onions were put on the chicken not on the side for soup and the sauce was poured all over the chicken maki g it soggy and gross! The manager did absolutely nothing about the mess up in fact she tried arguing with me on all of it! As someone who would order a few times a month this interaction has made it to where I will never again spend money with this business!! The order was clearly wrong and they did nothing to correct it! NEVER AGAIN POOR MANAGEMENT

Very good food, great portions! Definitely will come back!
been ordering food from them for almost 20 years, always satisfied until today, beef sticks and chicken wings burnt to a crisp. Called and was told not to order them again because that's how everyone else likes them. worked on the owners house after the 2007 flood and was served food there and it was great. Don't know what has changed. Funny how I can't share a picture, because if I did no one would eat there again. If this shows my name go to my page because I posted a picture there
I am editing this review to add…
I came here to give an honest review of not only the quality of food, but the quality of this restaurant’s customer service. Instead of the Manager trying to make a dissatisfied customer happy, he gets on here and starts insulting me. I looked for a way to post a picture of the food I received, I could not find that option. The managers response to my review was nothing but insulting. But that makes perfect sense, as he obviously has little experience dealing with customers, and running a good restaurant. He did tell me that they have been in business here in Findlay for a very long time, and that is the way their customers like their food, burnt. No thank you.

I have eaten at Hunans many times, the food I got tonight was by far the worst food I have ever had. I wish I could take a photo of the burnt to a crisp chicken sticks. I had the food delivered through door dash. The food was delivered wonderfully. The problem was the food was not edible, it was burnt to a crisp! I called the restaurant to let them know that the food quality was bad. That they really need to check for good quality before it goes out. The girl in the phone said, hold on a minute. Someone was talking to her in the background. She then says, do you want to come back in for it. I said no I had it delivered. The other person said, well you will have to contact door dash for a refund. I said , didn’t ask for a refund. I called to let you know that you guys need to do better for your paying customers. The food you are sending out, is not edible! He says, ma’am that is how we make our chicken sticks and customers love them. I said, really you burn the food until your customers can’t even take a bite of it? I said, it is charred black! He said yep, that is how we have always made them. I have ordered the chicken sticks many times, never have they been charred! Very bad customer service… I will not be eating at Hunaans again. They don’t even deserve a one star!

So I left an honest review about this place and the owner responded to it not only insulting me but calling me poor I got the general's chicken with broccoli I added the option for extra protein extra broccoli when I received my meal they were maybe 15 small pieces of chicken that had cartilage and bones in it the broccoli was wilted to shameful mush the fried rice was burnt and chewy and the Egg Roll was flat it had almost no filling in it so I am going to make it my mission to hit every food reviewing app newspaper everything to ruin this place
Great food workers are super nice
I have come to the store several times and everything is fine. The guy is very friendly, but the Chinese woman who serves serves reluctantly, all confused, and charges more. She doesn't charge what is due. It was a bill of 66 and she charges 85.
We deliver for DoorDash and get a lot of orders for here. We decided to take a lunch break and try it. The General Tso’s chicken was the best we’ve ever had. Not many places get it right, but this was excellent. Lunch portion size was just the right amount. We were surprised that it came with one free crab Rangoon which was also very good. We ordered 2 eggs rolls as well, and they were ok but not great. I’d still give the egg rolls another shot as we were late picking up our food. They have awards for best Asian food in Findlay for 6 years, the most recent being 2024. Our lunch- for 2 of us was just under $20. I’ll pay that any day over fast food places. Service is always pleasant too!
