Communication was great, food excellent, and the atmosphere was serene. They took care of every detail, which insured I could enjoy time with family and friends who attended. (They do not state that you need to on their site/menu) While they note GF options on their menu, unless you give them notice, they aren’t able to accommodate as well. They also up charge for GF.
They were able to make the two in our party that are GF some options and apologized for not having this stated anywhere and also didn’t up charge for our visit - which we really appreciated. But word of wise for our next visit and to others to definitely let them know/add it in the notes when making a reservation :)

Recently visited 2 times, in separate months.
First month, the reservations were lost, resulting in an awkward start and delay to our visit
Second visit, the food was subpar in presentation, temperature, and taste. Some of pastries seemed store bought
We also felt service was quite lacking and had wait and wait for a 2nd pot of tea.
For the price, I'd expect higher quality and will go elsewhere for it.

We had formal tea in the "wisteria room" - lovely ambience and good quality food and service. Exotic flavors of tea to suit all palates. Perfect for a special event or occasion.

We brought an out-of-state guest for proper tea. I have been going to propr tea at Swan House for the past 13+ years. The tea selections are now less, but still nice options. The price has increaesed, which is to be expected. However, the portion sizes on each plate have noteably decreased. The appearance of the tier was less appealing than years past. One plate having 3 small portions of sandwich & bread with no color on the plate; 2 out of the 3 very dry. It may have just been an off month for the menu. The changes made inside with painting & design are pretty. I was sad to see the quality of the actual proper tea decrease overall in both presentation and taste. Hoping the proper tea will improve to better represent the cost.

We have been wanting to take our granddaughters for years and finally got there. What a wonderful afternoon. The food was excellent! Service was primo. Our favorite tea was Swan House Blend. It's just an overall amazing experience.

They charged my 9 year old daughter for an adult meal and when I questioned it she told me "you booked it that way". I actually booked through open table which asks party size, not how many adults and how many children. Most restaurants want to know how many people to reserve ahead of time, then charge appropriately once you get there based on the child's age. This restaurant does not work that way so be aware that you have to call them to give them the head count for adults and children when booking. They did NOT want to adjust the reservation for a child once we got there and found the issue. Other than that it was a good experience, but this is experience is what kept we from giving it 5 star.

The Swan House is a beautiful experience. A very relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are decorated gorgeously with lots of natural light from the large windows. The airy floral table coverings add to the springtime feel when you walk into the main room. The teas and food are both delicious and presented to you on eclectic China tea cups and plates in a variety of patterns and styles. I encourage you to go in and soak up a tea room experience.
