Priced about what you would expect for a BBQ place, but you absolutely will not be hungry afterwards. Very good food, friendly staff and cool place. Will definitely be back.
If you have never had Texas Style BBQ it is different. It's good but different. My husband got the Totchos and said they were excellent. I had brisket it was nice and smoky and tender. But the sauce is heavy on vinegar(which I guess is typical of Texas my husband said) so I did not really enjoy that therefore the meat was a little dry with no sauce. Their Potato salad though is not your typical potato salad(it has bacon in it!) That was so yummy. My kiddos both got pulled pork and scarfed it down. The service was fantastic. They were friendly and knowledgeable.

Amazing food, even better service. Fun decor, even the air ducts were painted as cows, udders and all. The food was delicious, and reasonably priced.

Stepping into TOT’s, the atmosphere immediately pulls you in with its rustic charm and warm, welcoming ambiance. The subtle hints of smoked wood in the air and the nice décor set the stage for what I hoped to be a quintessential Texas BBQ experience. Unfortunately the experience left a lot to be desired. The food was pricey, mediocre and the presentation only made it more underwhelming. A potential saving grace of our visit was the remarkably friendly. The staff genuinely seemed to care about our experience. Give it a try yourself, it did just open, maybe I would try again?Maybe go and get the Totchos(?)

The atmosphere was great, and so was the food. The ribs and pulled pork were delicious. For a BBQ joint this far from the south it sure does remind you what real Texas Style BBQ is. It's always a great feeling knowing your supporting a small family business.

First time at TOTs. The food quality was good. They were out of Ribs and sliced brisket. When I got home with my food order that I paid 30.00 for, there was barely enough of the 3 meat package to feed 1 person. Very over priced for the quantity of food.

I'm a local but hadn't tried tried Smokin' Buckeye. Been wanting to, but just don't get to the southside of Findlay often. Finally just said we're going to go Thursday evening. Was it worth it? In my opinion, yes. We assumed the menu was primarily BBQ, like City BBQ. Wrong - it's pretty extensive. My dinner partner got a walleye sandwich, with house chips - $12-13. She said the sandwich was very good, and I believe her. She rarely finishes a whole sandwich, but she finished this one. I can attest that the server recommended house-made chips were excellent - I had some! I got a half rack of ribs - the real test of a BBQ joint - with 2 small sides for $16. A little disappointed the chips weren't an option without paying extra - just included a smaller portion please. Rating ribs is so subjective, but I was pleased. 6 quality ribs, lean, firm, but came cleanly off the bone, no dominate flavors in the rub/spices. I tried the 'original' sauce - also nice balance of sweet/hot. No room left for deserts, but the chalkboard options sounded tempting. She noted Boston Cream pie & I noted blueberry pie. Beer selection was basic cans/bottles. Definitely still has the previous Southside Restaurant vibe - basic local family style diner. At least not loud - can actually converse across the table. Will we go back? Yes, if it's convenient. Is it a "destination", probably not.
At first look the atmosphere seemed good. However, the brisket I ordered was dry and room temperature. The flavor was alright but could have been way better. My girlfriend had also ordered the bbq chicken and it was also extremely dry and room temperature. For the high price demanded I am disappointed with the quality. Would not come back.

Everything was O.K. EXCEPT for the food. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with tots and then a side of Mac and cheese and my husband ordered the sliced brisket and tots. Both of our meals and 2 drinks cost $42.00 and it was cold as hell and the Mac and cheese was cold and dry! I don't believe I will be returning to this restaurant nor do I recommend this restaurant. Oh and the sweet BBQ sauce was weird tasting.

Pros:Cute atmosphere and good serviceMeat was very tender with good flavorMac n Chz was amazingCons:I personally did not like the BBQ sauce (not sweet enough for me).The coleslaw is not homemadeThe skin was still on the ribs (weird)There was no corn bread; instead they give you "texas toast" aka just a big piece of sliced bread.

First looks: Ordered lunch and was checked out by one of the owners. You can tell this lady really cares about her business. She was so very sweet and accommodating. The younger girl who took my order was very bubbly and friendly. Atmosphere was welcoming and neat.Food: Mac and cheese and tots, delicious. The meat was good but not something most folks in Findlay probably expect as it’s a Smokey bbq and not a sweet bbq they are used to. I tried the ribs, sausage (my favorite) chicken and brisket. No complaints there, just know this is a different style of smoke. What could be better: first thing I noticed is no bbq on the tables. I think added those decent size squirt bottles on each table would be a very nice touch. The POS system is strange. You order at one station, then pay at the next station but the POS system there seems like it would be a pain for staff and would be difficult during high volume. Wife got pasta salad and was a little taken back by the fact it was warm and had bacon. She said that is traditional with German pasta salad. I don’t eat the garbage so can’t confirm. If true, doesn’t seem on par with a Texas theme. Lastly, the ribs isn’t exactly self explanatory where most folks are used to 1/4, 1/2, or full racks. Tots sells by the bone. I wish they’d add that phrasing in somewhere. The owner (who rang me out) mentioned they were adding beer (maybe liqour?) which is a huge addition to the menu. Furthermore, I know folks complain about pricing but it’s pretty on par with the competition (I’m guessing City BBQ in this instance) and the current economy.I would like to see something done more with the bar area (once was a full bar at previous business).Overall conclusion: good food, new business so ironing out the kinks and I hope to see them here for the long haul. The owners first impression was really what did it for me.Oh, and I forgot to mention, this place was super clean!
