If you have never had Texas Style BBQ it is different. It's good but different. My husband got the Totchos and said they were excellent. I had brisket it was nice and smoky and tender. But the sauce is heavy on vinegar(which I guess is typical of Texas my husband said) so I did not really enjoy that therefore the meat was a little dry with no sauce. Their Potato salad though is not your typical potato salad(it has bacon in it!) That was so yummy. My kiddos both got pulled...
The atmosphere was great, and so was the food. The ribs and pulled pork were delicious. For a BBQ joint this far from the south it sure does remind you what real Texas Style BBQ is. It's always a great feeling knowing your supporting a small family business.
I'm a local but hadn't tried tried Smokin' Buckeye. Been wanting to, but just don't get to the southside of Findlay often. Finally just said we're going to go Thursday evening. Was it worth it? In my opinion, yes. We assumed the menu was primarily BBQ, like City BBQ. Wrong - it's pretty extensive. My dinner partner got a walleye sandwich, with house chips - $12-13. She said the sandwich was very good, and I believe her. She rarely finishes a whole...
