My husband, mother and I decided to try El Toril for the first time tonight for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. The restaurant itself is really nice and I love the decor. The staff was very curtious and prompt. And the food was amazing!!

My colleagues are regulars here and have been telling me about this place for some time. I finally had a chance to visit, and they were right, this place is excellent.
The service was wonderful, the meal was fantastic and the restaurant itself was clean.
I ordered the vegetarian chimichanga and not only was it delicious, but it was huge. The leftovers were the next day's lunch and a snack after work, and still delicious. My coworkers' meals were also reportedly delicious and similarly huge. Also, i feel i have to mention how great the broccoli is here. I don't know why, but they just happen to cook some especially good broccoli.
There was a mistake with a coworker's order, where they had cooked his steak differently than ordered, however, they made things so right that the level of commitment they showed toward keeping their customers happy, was impressive. They went above and beyond, without being asked to.
I have forgotten our server's name, but she was excellent. She was timely, very polite and professional, and was nice to chat with. I feel bad for forgetting her name, but she did a great job!
I will be visiting this restaurant every time I am in Gallipolis. Do not pass this place up.

Very clean place restrooms were very clean. The service was amazing. The food was great. You didn't have to wait very long. I want your food to come out. It was hot and delicious
Random stop for a favorite cuisine in a strange city and walking away full and happy. Salsa was the right amount of spicy with a nice smooth consistency, tea was sweet and service speedy. Polo Feliz was the favorite of the table, with a creamy pineapple sauce. Recommend this friendly, clean restaurant! 🙂

Service was quick and friendly, and the decor/atmosphere was great. Downside was the food. The salsa needed more flavor and a bit more heat, and the spices in the beans and rice were off somehow. Instead of the the crispy taco in the combination plate being freshly made and deep-fried, it was simply an out-of-the-box hardshell taco shell that you could literally buy at any grocery store. They didn’t have shredded beef as an option, though they were flexible in substituting another protein for the ground beef. The enchilada sauce was somehow more like mole than a red enchilada sauce, and so on. After growing up in the Southwest, and having many great meals with many of our Mexican friends, and after trying many different Mexican restaurants over the years, this one just missed in too many ways. It seemed like everything was tuned to the Midwest and not authentic. Not bad, but not great. Some will certainly find it to their liking, but if you want authentic Mexican food, this probably won’t do it for you.
