I can't even honestly explain the experience being there during the total eclipse was surreal service was wonderful food was great the entertainment was fun with your backs to lake Erie and the total eclipse for 4 minutes and 24 seconds of totality was a really really amazing experience with the lake Erie in the background. An absolute once-in-a-lifetime experience and I am so glad we chose Driftwood

With the new ownership this past year, this has become a quick favorite of restaurants for me! Amazing food, even better drinks, and superb service! Not to mention the adorable baby the owners have around some nights :) They always have great music/bands on the weekends and truly bring your whole experience together for a perfect night. Whether you choose to sit on the patio and feel the breeze or relax inside looking out the large open windows, Driftwood wont let you down.

Driftwood point hosted a holiday pop up! Let me tell you how amazing the food was! 10+ out of 10! I was greeted by Reagan, who was charming, and chose the blue cheese/onion straw prime rib. It was cooked perfectly- seared in just the right amount of peppercorn crust- medium rare- as I like it! The mashed potatoes were creamy with garlic essence, and the side salad was generous and delicious on its own! There was nothing left on my plate. I accompanied my prime rib with a couple glasses of MCellars Amphora Pinot Noir, a stunning fave of mine- and perfect with this meal. I confirmed with the owner they will reopen in April, as they are right on the lake and 7 mins away. This was an outstanding meal- haha- I was there for Festivus, but there was no "airing of the grievances" this night! The band played holiday favorites - some in a twisted form which had the crowd laughing. This place will be beautiful during the spring/summer as it has ample outdoor seating and their food is off the hook, the service was stellar. I keep hoping a Valentine's Day pop up might happen as well!! I loved everything about this cute little space and have plans to be a regular! The only downside is parking gets a little tight- but I can maneuver my trusty vehicle around- I am so glad I found this treasure. Pencil me in for April!

They were closed, but the location and atmosphere is fantastic. I can't wait to visit when they're open!

This is the lowest rating I have ever given. On the up side the views of Lake Erie are beautiful from the patio. From that point on it goes downhill. We ordered Walleye bites @18.00, a Perch dinner for 27.00 and a Walleye diner for 18.00. We then asked the waitress for extra tartar sauce and hot sauce. The supposedly fresh fish had absolutely no flavor and the breading was so hard you had to break the fish planks in half just to eat them. It tasted like the filets were cooked in rancid oil. We never received our tater or hot sauce even after asking a second time then we had to hunt down the waitress and ask for our bill after a half hour of waiting. For this amount of money I would expect much much more. I won't be eating here again!

UPDATE 8/29/23 - The owner reached out and respectfully offered to make things right. He assured me that it was an innocent mistake where a tip was added to my electronic payment unknowingly to me. I was refunded the extra tip amount. To be fair, I should have more closely reviewed the bill on the server’s device before signing off on it. A paper receipt would have prevented the whole situation.ORIGINAL POST - I would have given this place 5 stars based on our dining experience. However, after checking my bank account the next day, I found that somehow my $48.xx bill turned into $57.63. That was along with the CASH $9.00 tip that I left on the table. Conveniently, I wasn’t given a receipt. Just paid at the table electronically with the server. SHADY!!!!!

There were 2 tables, other than us (we made 3), none of which had food - only drinks. It took 1 hour and 10 minutes for us to get our food (we only got appetizers), our server, Grace's explanation "our other cook hasn't shown up yet"... so one cook couldn't handle one table of appetizers?! A cheese plate, fries, and grilled veggies that's all we ordered, other than water and iced tea. And when it finally did come out, it was wrong!!Hardly the cook's fault!! The server didn't put our order in because she was too busy talking, or getting high, or whatever else was more important than her actually doing work and doing her job. To get a glass of water, it literally took her 25 minutes, we timed it... with 3 whole tables there. One with 4 people (who only had drinks), one with 2 (who only had drinks), and us - with 2, who got appetizers... 25 minutes for a glass of water (we asked for this once our food finally came), and 1 hour and 10 minutes for appetizers. This was literally the WORST service I have had from any place, anywhere, EVER!! And I will not recommend going there, maybe for takeout, or drinks; but not for table service.

The owner is great, also beautiful place right on the water with great food too. Pina colada was not made with a mix, so that was also a plus
