We were up at Geneva this weekend to celebrate my mom's 72nd birthday. We came to the Firehouse because of a past memory from years ago. Plus we thought it would be nice to sit up by the lake. When we arrived on Saturday most of the people were outside so we thought we would sit and get a bottle. We noticed there was a sign that said wait for a host or Hostess to see you. There was a group of ladies that look like a bridal party standing there. There were plenty of seats open but for some reason this party has been standing there for quite some time. So I thought that maybe we'd go inside instead. When I walked in there was a young girl behind the counter she looked like she was a high schooler or maybe college age at most. She was very rude and acted like she had better things to do than help us. We ordered a bottle of wine and went outside to sit. When we got outside there were two waiters buzzing around. Both of them were young too. The one made it clear to us in a rude manner that since we didn't wait in line for a table and we went inside to get our bottle of wine that we were only allowed to sit at a specific section of tables. We didn't quite understand this because there was nobody waiting to be seated and there were plenty of seats and tables outside that were open. We found a table off in the distance and we sat down to enjoy our bottle of wine. We are chosen the peach. What a mistake that was it didn't even taste like peach ot tasted like pear. We quickly drank our bottle and then decided to take our business elsewhere. I was just really disappointed because we went there to celebrate my mom's birthday and the staff was completely rude we didn't see an adult in sight it was all teenagers and college students serving. Cost to top it all off the wine wasn't even that good. Needless to say we won't be back.

Just spent the past weekend at Geneva on the lake for a bachelorette party. After walking around the strip and getting dirty looks every time we walked into an establishment to eat (we actually walked out of one for how poorly we were treated upon walking into) we stumbled upon Old Firehouse Winery! As soon as we walked up to the hostess’s area with our party of 9 we were immediately greeted by Iosif who happened to be our server as well. He made us all feel so welcomed and it was a breath of fresh air to feel welcomed after not feeling so welcomed everywhere else we tried to eat at. The food was amazing! Yes, it did take awhile to come out, but it was worth the wait! I ordered a smoked pretzel burger and fries, it was cooked to perfection, so flavorful and filling! Price was on point! The wine slushies were amazing! The live entertainment was also lovely! It kept us entertained while waiting for our food and the live musician was also so friendly and welcoming to our party! I highly recommend this place if you’re wanting a nice relaxing place to sit and eat, enjoying some live music and listening to the waves from the lake! I truly appreciate the service provided to us (a party of 9 women drinking is probably not something any server wants to handle) but Iosif did it so well and deserves some recognition for sure! We’ll definitely recommend and be back next time we come to visit!

Have eaten here several times each summer for over 20 years. It's hit an miss with service. Food is usually pretty good. But the wines have gone downhill. The last time we were there this year we ordered wine. Tasted like jet fuel. Whoever is making their wines should get a job at NASA. Got a replacement wine which was just as bad. Couldn't finish the bottle. Back in the day we used to get blackberry and raspberry wines which were great. Even their pink catawba was good now leaves a bad aftertaste. We'll eat there but drink and buy wines from other area wineries.You do have wines at your winery, right?
The location was great with live music and a lovely view. The local beer was pretty good and you’re bound to find a suitable wine from their selection. I also had a hamburger and fries and honestly that was the worst hamburger I have ever eaten. It was just shy of scorched and the patty kept falling apart into small pieces. The fries weren’t great either but at least somewhat edible in comparison to the burger. Enjoy the view and beverages, but look elsewhere for your food.

My Rueben had old fatty lunch meat on it, while my boyfriends chicken sandwich was so dry he couldn’t eat it. The fries made my family and us sick later that night. Maybe old grease? Overpriced for the low quality, probably because it’s the end of season. I would go elsewhere in geneva.
