If you plan on visiting Red Eagle Distillery. Do not bring your dog. The owner is not dog friendly. I called prior to arrival and asked if we were permitted to bring our dog outside while we visited and was told yes, by a staff member, as long as the dog was outside, it wouldn't be a problem and if it was well behaved. Upon arrival we were told the dog could be outside by the owner and then we proceeded to sit on the outside patio. I did tell him that we called ahead and asked prior to bringing our dog, out of respect for his rules. He then came up and told us that we could not have the dog up there but had to go sit in the grass with her. Which would have been fine if he would have told us that initially. He then told me she was too big of a distraction (she is a 126 lb sweet New Foundland) and that he was afraid his patrons would be drunk and get distracted by the dog and fall down the steps....
Then he tried to tell me that he asked his staff and no one took a phone call from me about bringing a dog. I live locally and and am all about supporting small local businesses. We will not be going back to his establishments again.

Drinks were okay, nothing that blew me away. The dirty hoe was the best drink they offered in my opinion. The other cocktails were lacking flavor unfortunately. The creative names of the drinks were cool. My sister had the swamp water and it tasted very watered down. One of the cocktail specials was a passion fruit mule which also lacked in flavor.
This place is very unique and I’d likely return to give their drinks another try.
If you’re visiting wine country and you’d like something a little different I’d recommend stopping by.

Great Bourbon selection. Nice environment. However, I do not recommend that house Bourbon. Couldn't finish drinking it.

Amazing cocktails, cool vibe. The Swamp Water drink was amazing.

Oh my! 6th stop on our tour & the Dirty Hoe was ABSOLUTELY fantastic! The atmosphere was great...rustic, barn style, almost a wild west saloon feel. Drinks were outstanding! Definitely coming back for my bday at the end of the month!

This is a distillery in the middle of wine country. It's a unique barn like setup. They have unique cocktails here. I have been here multiple times, and this time was because it was part of the Halloween trail. The staff is always kind. There is a patio section in the front entrance area. It's one of my favorite spots. You can also purchase bottles of their liquor.

What can anyone say bad about this place? The staff was so inviting, the drinks were fire, and the view was nice

Never even bought a drink. Only a few people there, stood at the bar for a few minutes, none of the employees took my order but took orders from everyone else, so I turned around and left. Apparently a very popular place, so my business won’t be missed. ?‍♂️

Really pretty properly and barn. The whiskey is very young which is probably a given for most micro distillery's. Still a great place to go for cocktails with a date.

Nice place. Workers are friendly. I just find it hard to pay $8 for a 12 oz draft beer. Let's face it, with 20% tip, it works out to almost $10 a beer. I can't remember the last place that gives you a draft beer in a 12 oz glass instead of 16 oz glass.

Red Eagle Distillery was a cute trendy spot. It was super crowded when we arrived. Almost standing room only, but the drinks were superb! There wasn't much in the line of food. But they offered snacks, such as pretzels and chips.

Love this place and their bourbon. Their bartender is friendly, hard working, and great at her job. I would hang out here all afternoon given the opportunity.

Stopped by today with three wine trail participants on the Tannenbaum trail, these women paid 37.50 to visit over twenty wineries with provided tastings and pairings. As they were waiting at the bar of the Red Eagle Distillery, another group was being waited on by a young woman with colorful purple hair. The group, after being served, told her she could go ahead and wait on the three Tannenbaum participants. She told them that they could wait and that they were on the wine trail. She repeated it two more times after the other group insisted. Not only is this very poor customer service. But I myself went to the Black Door Tavern to get some assistance with this problem since they are all owned and operated by the same people . My request fell on deaf ears!I'm sure this was not what the Ohio Wine Producers Association intended when they took the time to set this opportunity up for their members.
