We love this place. There is always a large selection of soups and the menu is diverse enough for us. The fish fry is the main reason we come but we have tried a lot of other things that are very good too. It is definitely worth stopping.

We absolutely love this place. Their fish fry is the best you will get anywhere in the area. Good service and friendly owner and staff. The only draw back is for handicapped people. Their restrooms are down a flight of stairs. Go before you leave home.

Best little restaurant/bar in the area. Food , service, and Owner all amazing. Definitely recommend stopping in. Try the steak dinner on Fridays and brisket anytime. Super yummy!

Ordered food for pick up 48 wings crispy and sloppy, a Mac and cheese dinner with brisket, And a brisket dinner. Wings were not crispy nor sloppy some were still pink in middle. The Mac and cheese dinner had less Mac and cheese, then the side mac and cheese for the brisket dinner, we never received our side of ranch or bread with brisket dinner. I called about the issue with the wings and was told 48 wings was to many for them to make if I brought them back, they then offered to just make more sauce. Until they saw them when we brought box back for them to see with raw wing. They then offered to remake but we had to go home to get the rest that I had already offered to bring back in first place. We then got our new wings that were cooked but however not crispy still but now edible. I usually do not leave reviews however, I do not believe the way this matter was handled was the right way at all. We definitely didn’t want to make three trips, or argue with cook about pink inside the wings I’m feeding to my family. I definitely do not feel it was worth the money I spent or the headache tonight.

We’ve added The Boot to our regular rotation of restaurants. Wing Wednesday is crazy good and the wings are huge. We’re also big fans of the Friday fish fry. The soup sampler is genius and the soups have been really good. We have in the past had waitress issues, as others noted, but they have been really good lately. It’s loud and the ambiance is that of a no-frills local restaurant, but if you’re looking for an unpretentious place with great and affordable food, this is it.
The food is delicious! We have never had a bad meal! The fries are absolutely the best! Great menu!

This place is a gem! Prices are pretty reasonable. Wing night prices are incredible, although my compliment of “almost as good as Buffalo’s wings”, seemed to fall flat! I’d go back in a heartbeat but I will say that the locals get more attention. Every customer deserves equal attention in my book and I have lots of food service experience!
