I used to love this place. Food served was slightly above room temperature. Waitress and hostess seemed to be annoyed to do anything. Its breakfast food, room temp potatoes and eggs gravy all just barely warm. Wish it was a 5 star but yall earned this 1 star. If you goina charge those prices it needs to be better. The biscuit was good but the luke warm gravy made it ehhh. Highly disappointed.

Great warming atmosphere first time giving this diner a try I got the tuna melt with chicken pot pie soup lil heavy on tuna on sandwich but was delicious and the pot pie best pot pie I’ve had for real!!! My boyfriend got the brisket said he enjoys it and would come back great service

We were in town on vacation from Kansas and chose DK Diner for breakfast because of its long history, early 6 a.m. opening, and its proximity to our VRBO.
We arrived at opening, and the place was pretty quiet — which made it easy to overhear the staff grumbling (a little loudly) about a coworker. Understandable early-morning frustration, but not really something you want to hear over breakfast, especially while on vacation. It’s kind of a pet peeve of ours (that kind of behind-the-scenes chatter feels unprofessional.) Guests really shouldn’t have to hear it.
The hash was awesome! It is really flavorful and unique without being too spicy. It was the highlight of our meal.
The French toast was a letdown and honestly something we could’ve made better at home. The donuts, which we were most excited for, didn’t taste fresh. They were tough, a bit stale, and way too sweet. We sampled both an apple fritter and a sour cream donut; unfortunately, neither one was tasty and sadly, didn't live up to the DK (donut kitchen) hype.
We’d come back just for the hash, but we’d skip the sweets next time. Seating inside is limited (it filled up fast) and parking is tight, but there’s some street parking and covered outdoor seating.

This is one of our favorite places in Columbus! The people at the counter are so nice and somehow remember us, even though the restaurant is always really busy. The donuts are amazing, and the food is great too. But if possible, the people are even better… One time after my first baby I stopped by to get a donut all sweaty and tired with my three week old, and the person at the counter waived the charge. It was a really kind gesture that got me through the week. I will always remember how nice they were, and it always makes our day when we get the chance to stop by!
