Eric introduced us to a new drink and recommended some items on the menu. The Scottish eggs are the best in Columbus. The sausage and pickles was amazing. The burger was the best we had in a long time and the family steak was incredible with the black garlic butter and salt! This is our favorite place for a date night.

Cleaver is for all meat lovers. The farm to table rustic restaurant offers a unique way of eating fresh high quality food. It’s reasonably priced for the portions/quality with a lot of delicious options. The burger was incredible and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I am going to come back and try more of their dishes. The ice cream was homemade and insanely good. Dishes change on a rotating basis! I didn’t give this place 5 stars because some of the food was a bit too salty for my liking but everyone else loved it. Staff are super friendly too.

This was a great spot! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, food was great and really reasonably priced.Corban was our host and server and treated us great!Definitely start with the Whipped Feta and the Focaccia (it's a MUST)!We will definitely be back!

We were so excited to eat at Cleaver because we love the owner's original butcher shop. The menu has varied Items with a focus on local, fresh butchered meat and fowl. The food did not disappoint. I had the Cubano with house 5 step fries and house made ketchup. The smoked pork in the sandwich was perfection. Smokey and yet juicy and tender. Their bread was almost as good as the Cuban sandwiches I have had in Miami. My other half had the Butcher Burger. He ordered it medium well and it came out medium, but he was not disappointed. The burger was fresh and juicy and the thick cut bacon had him making major yummy noises. He would have asked for a retire on the burger, but service was subpar. The service was what made this a three star review. We had water pretty quickly, but that was it. We waited awhile to order which made us change our minds on ordering drinks and appetizers. Once the food came out, we didn't see a server again until he came to clean up and ask if we wanted dessert or the check. We finally got drink refills at this point. So, in summary, food gets five YUMS, but the service brings the whole experience down.

An exceptional meal, the best I've had in the past several years. Each dish was exceptional. I recommend bread and fat, beef tartare, and a great duck dish as the main. Excellent whiskey list and interesting cocktails. Dining partners shared a steak with an incredible compound butter quenelle on the plate. Fries are alongside the best in Columbus. I will be back. Cleaver should be on the top of your list if you love great food.

Delicious meats! Tried a few different sandwiches and enjoyed all of them. I think we had the cubano, roast beef, and brother burger. Huge portions!
Really nice experience with a lovely server and a very friendly manager/owner? The beef especially was excellent; we highly recommend the steak salad. Overall, a little gem in Columbus.

Went there for brunch. We all ordered different items and all of them were outstanding. Note that the Dutch baby pancake is a bit small, but excellent. Looked like they were short of wait staff, so it wasn't very full (they seemed to have limited the number of tables, which we really appreciated; we've been to other places that were short-staffed where all tables were in use, waits were long, and staff was stressed.). Highly recommend! I thought prices were very reasonable for such carefully sourced and prepared food.
We ordered the chicken, and it was absolutely incredible. Fantastic flavors. The duck was lovely with the fruity compote. The burger was one of the best we have ever had. You have to order the brussel spouts–perfectly sweet with the carmelized onion jam and crispy edges. We loved it so much for dinner that we came back for brunch the next day! Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich. We loved learning about where the local meats came from and knowing we were supporting local.

All meat dishes are excellent. Always have had a pleasant experience. Waiters are friendly. A bit noisy. Try the ice cream. It is my go-to eatery in Grandview. Expect to spend $25 per person, but well worth it...you will be happy you did.

Father’s Day 2022..2 for dinner. Arrived on time, they couldn’t find the reservation. Finally sat down, ordered a drink. Gave the server our food order at the same time. Received drinks, watched 3 tables of 4,6, and 8 seated after us. Waited about 30 minutes and then watched all 3 tables above receive their food before us. Asked the server about the food and he said he would check. We did not order appetizers nor did we have anything special on our orders. Asked again at 1 hour and still no food. After an hour and 15 minutes, they bring out a burger that had been sitting there for 30 minutes and said the rest of the order would be out in about 10 minutes. Said no thanks and asked for the drink bill. No apologies, no visit from a manager. Nothing

This was our second time dining at Cleaver with a much larger party this time! Everything was excellent the food is always top notch and the staff is attentive and helpful! We loved our experience at Cleaver and would definitely dine there again!

Had dinner here last night with my son. Our waiter, Corbin, highly recommended the Tartare appetizer and the Scotch egg. They were both outstanding as was his service! We, then, both had the Beef & Cheddar sandwich. Definitely the best Beef & Cheddar sandwich we've ever had! Can't say enough good things about Cleaver's food, atmosphere, and our server! It won't be long before we go back to our new favorite restaurant! On final comment-- wound up leaving my wallet there by mistake. Corbin secured it in a safe place until my son could go retrieve it for me today.
