Tried this place for the first time today and it had a very close to home vibe. Definitely some of the most friendly staff I've ever encountered at a pizza place and the pizza was great! Definitely will be back to try other pizzas and things from here. I've never tried actual New York pizza but I've heard this is it. They have super fresh ingredients. The only reason it is 4 stars and not 5 is that I wish they were open all week long and opened earlier. I've tried to find time to pick up a pie from the for a couple weeks but due to busy schedule, I haven't been able to make it in during the hours they are open until today finally which it was well worth the wait I just wish I could have it more often than the hours and days they are open.

I worked in NYC for 12 years and if there's one thing I LOVED about the city it was the pizza. It's a taste that is so hard to duplicate, but Joe and Mimi's has absolutely pulled it off. This is the closest thing you will find to NYC pizza anywhere in Ohio. On top of that, Mimi is a very kind human being. I feel fortunate to have a place like this in the Newark, Ohio area.

We usually get this place all the time and have no issues but today our sausage roll still had raw dough in it. I thought it was a different kind of cheese but after looking at it and eating it, it was 100% raw dough.

The pizza was pretty good. Definitely a New York style. I also tried a house salad and was pleasantly surprised how big it was but the Italian dressing was not what I enjoy. It seemed to be more Italian seasoning with a little bit of oil. It came out of the container in clumps of seasoning. I might try a different kind next time. Overall, the food was good.

Great pizza! We ordered three pizzas from Joe and Mimi’s. Each were fantastic. The crust and sauce from Joe and Mimi’s really make the pizza a standout in the area. We will be back!

Not very impressed. The pizza itself wasn't too bad, but there were a few lacking areas, especially with the sauce; tasted a little dry and very greasy. When I ordered, they were out of pepperoni and by the time I got home with my pizza, they did a terrible job cutting it so I had to whip out a pizza cutter to do it myself.
