We had never been here before, didn't know what to order, asked some suggestions. We tried everything he recommended. We had a great experience because of him. Food was 10 out of 10 too! “A nice little tavern in Powell. They have some interesting looking cocktails. Beer list was ok, but lacking stouts and porters even in December. Food was good, but not exceptional. I had fish and chips. Fish was good and not too greasy, so good points there, but the fries are "shoestring" fries and so don't retain their heat for more than 2 minutes, so they definitely lost points there. (Especially when served as part of fish and chips, you expect the fries to be more than an after thought.) Son had the J Hancock burger which he thought also fell short of expectations. He ordered without onions and it came out without peppers too, which may have contributed to it falling a bit short. Wife thought her salad was quite tasty. I'll probably return, but will avoid the fries.“
“Rye River Social is beautiful inside, but it's the food that keeps us coming back! It was only day 2 of their new brunch menu; and while I missed the monkey bread, I had a horrible time choosing. Everything looked so good! The new menu also did not have the brussel sprouts, but our waitress checked, and the kitchen made them for us! Amazing food and service!“
“We met some family here tonight and had a great meal. The Stromboli is huge and very reasonably priced at $12. It was the star of the show with the teenagers. They almost ate it all. My grilled chicken wrap was tight and the veggies were fresh. My fries were standard McDonald's type fries. We would definitely go back as it's close to our church.“
