I came across this place on Yelp and I was in the mood for Chinese so we stopped in. It gives you that old-school 90s Chinese restaurant vibe. When we arrived the lady told us to sit at a booth, good thing we didn't want a table. We sat and noticed that the same lady was pretty much running the whole joint. We stopped again tonight, and the food was excellent as always.The service, however, was uncharacteristically miserable. The server brought the wrong spring roll and I had to ask for and wait for hot mustard. Our entrees took a very long time to arrive (only after asking a hostess to ask our waiter where they were and after three tables who had arrived after we had ordered had received theirs). Joey Chang's has a special place in my heart as the Chinese food I grew up on. Although I no longer live in Columbus, whenever I visit my parents there it's always our go-to place for a nice family dinner. I always order the Shredded Chicken with Garlic sauce, perfect texture and flavor. Other favorites include the Kung Pao Chicken, Mala Lamb, and Pataya shrimp, and all the soups. Thanks for many delicious meals and memories over the years!
