The Old Bag of Nails Pub - Hilliard

Best fish and chips platter anywhere! We go out of our way to eat there. Love it.

Lets be honest, most places you wait for an hr or so before your food is at your table. But the last 3 months this old bag of nails in Hilliard is booming. I mean fresh hot and fast food. Last summer, that wasnt the case. Whatever changed at this location, it was for the best. Big shout out to the kitchen staff. Well ran kitchen from what we could tell everyone happy and feed. Great job

There's a worker i met named ambrosio tonight amd he was the best part of my whole experience. Hes was funny, cordial and attentive thru the whole experience I only got drinks but him and the bartender Jeron I think his name was. Made the whole experience for me!

Excellent service and some of the best fish around. Food was quick and piping hot. Easy drink refills. Dining area was quite breezy in the winter with wind from the entrance, so dress warmly!!

OBoN has all you can eat shrimp on Wednesdays. So, guess what I had? The all you can eat shrimp. But first we had the potato skins as an appetizer. Very good. 6 halves are what comes in an order. As there were two of us, we each had 2 and took home the other two. My daughter tried the buffalo chicken wrap. She could only eat half along w/ the thin French fries. Back to my order. Each order of shrimp comes w/ 10 shrimp w/ tails. Choices are grilled, blackened (Cajun seasoning), fried, and spicy fried. I had (2) of the grilled, (1) of the blackened, & (1) of the spicy fried. And I also had sweet potato fries and coleslaw w/ my shrimp. Everything was very good.

The atmosphere was chill. There was basketball games on the TVs and there was a good crowd when we walked in and when we left. Real pleasant and easy to hear each other talk.

The service was great. Destiny was our server and she was awesome. Took our drink order. Brought our drinks out and took our appetizer order. Came back a few moments later to take our lunch order. She kept the shrimp coming and the drinks filled. I tried the Ace guava ale and it was very good. Might be too fruity for some but I liked it.

The price of the meals was reasonable. $17 for the AYCE shrimp and $14 for the buffalo chicken wrap. The appetizer was $10.

Overall, it was a very good experience.

Denise and the rest of the staff at Old Bag in Hilliard did a fantastic job hosting our charity event! Denise listened to our needs and came through with flying colors. We had about 50 people come through, and the appetizers came out very fast, and they were able to modify the apps to accommodate the large group. Drinks were served quickly, and tabs were taken care of with speed so we could move on to our next stop. Highly recommend this location for events, happy hour or a night out! It's such a cool historic building in downtown Hilliard, also. Thanks Denise and staff!!

Very good food exceptionally good New England clam chowder. We kind of forgot about old bag of nails restaurant at this site is delicious and Emma was a great waitress.

Went here about a week ago, Trinity was our server and she was the absolute best. She was constantly refilling our drinks and checking on us. A couple of the staff were very rude and not helpful at all. The fish and chips was excellent, our server had recommended it and I'm glad she did.

Ordered 3 take out french onion soups, spoke with management prior to and agreed that the best way to take out french onion soup is to keep the order in separate containers. Arrived, looked at the containers of soup, the restaurant should be embarrassed at the portion that attempted serve. Best guess, 8oz containers, half full at best, at $7.00 per container.
